With so many Insurance companies refusing to cover/insure Military personnel, why don't the major UK insurance companies take the lead by instead of offering gifts like Dvd players, mobile phones etc to sign up with them, offer something more useful like a decent flak jacket?

Circuit City has a 15% restocking fee on most merchandise. You won't discover that until after you have purchased a product. My wife bought me a PDA and it didn't work. She returned it for me to get a new one. I decided I didn't want it... when I returned it they wanted to charge me 15% restocking even within their 14 day policy because I opened the first one. While they state they have a 30 return policy, read the fine print - if you return it, get ready to pay. I will never purchase at Circuit City again.

I am 17 1/2 years old- old enough for most jobs open to high-school students. I am also very smart and capable. I can do manual work.
Problem? I'm deaf.

While my speech and comprehension is generally good enough to get by most of the time, I don't want to work at somewhere like a cashier job at Taco Bell or a Walmart's helper, where I'm required to talk to several different people all day long.

I'd REALLY like to find a part-time job but I have no idea where to look- it seems that the only places that have job openings for high-school students are restaurants or stores- and in there, I'll likely be placed as a waitress or a clerk/cashier... jobs that I don't think I would do very well at.

If anyone could come up with other ideas of employment that are better suited for deaf high-schoolers, I would appreciate it very much.

Okay, I'm a teenager, still in HS, not close to graduation, but not a freshman.LOL. Anyway, I'm interested in starting a business this summer. A shoe label, to be specific. I have the funds, but what do I need, do I need a license, anything, please. I don't want to pay for an advisor, so I'm going to play it by ear.
