Is that true, b/c if it is, wouldn't it be better to go to a 4 year university rather than going to a 4 year trade night school?

Can someone confirm with me on this please and best answer goes to the one that really helps me.

I would find out if the trade your interested in is part of a Union.If it is indeed Union based,they will have an apprenticeship program.That will enable you to get paid while learning.I believe on the job training out does the classroom work.

Naw you need the schooling if you're going to be a GC or are about ready to move up to journeyman level. Even then it's to satisfy the union or local authorities. As far as getting a job actually doing the work, nope,. Just prove to the foreman that you can do the work fast and accurately and you're in.

no, you can learn most trades by getting a job as an apprentice in that field. No matter how you look at it you'll always be better off going to a university.
