As a single 27yr old woman, I am considering leaving my apartment in TX to move back home to WI, to start my own business. I just started the work force about year 1/2 ago and I realized that I do not like the corporate bull that you have to endure inorder make a dollar. I know that its not always like that everywhere you go, but there is some level of crap you will have to deal with, but I dont think its worth it. It makes sense to move back home financially, but damn I will loose so much indepence moving back home with my mom. You know, walking around the house nude, cleaning when you feel like it. Its a trade off I guess. What would you do? Did I mention that my new bedroom would be the living room..lol Am I crazy for even thinking of moving back home?

Many parents suffer from the pressures to use credit to buy. I would like to know of any schemes in the UK, perhaps run on credit union lines, that have been introduced to primary age children to encourage them to save their small change.

in this time of year (winter...into spring) what is a resonable amount of time that a house should be on the market? I live in Delaware and my wife and I are buying a larger home in May. We plan to put our house on the market Feb 1st. Is this too early to put on the market?

Okay tax people, your knowledge is requested! We built a house in 2006. Recently, we paid $300 for an inspector to come out and perform all sorts of tests to certify it as an Energy Star certified house by the EPA. It passed and the inspector told us to look into tax credits. Anyone know a good place for me to get information on this - or possibly anyone know it off hand?

I am a receptionist and also a college student. This is my second real job( 9 to 5) in 4 years. I have only been here a short time but I am barely making 20K a year and want to ask for 23.5K a year really soon. Lot's of positions in my area(Atlanta) start off at 30K. Should I wait around for them to offer or should I ask first or is that insulting to the boss?

My Ex-boss is a moron. He made me quit after I got tired and I began telling people how I was doing his job and mine. One time he got everyone together, and raised his voice to me infront of everyone, and I told him off back, and quit. I got 30% raise on a job offer I got the week after that. My friend worries me, my Ex-boss hates him too, and he’s trying for him to quit. But my friend isn’t as qualified as me, and hasn’t been able to get a new job. For months my Ex-boss has done things such as logging into his computer and looking at porn, so the computer will register it. Yelling bad words at him in front of others. Giving him unrealistic amounts of work and deadlines. My friend is in a situation where he can’t afford to lose his job, so he puts up with him. Unfortunately, he’s just not very qualified to get other jobs. I feel bad for my friend, I know how unethical that man can be. I wish I could get him a job, but it’s hard considering his education and experience.

I work in a high stress apartment management office as an assistant manager/programs coordinator. The company has been cut off with all but 4 vendors. They don't pay bills, we don't have office supplies--not even copy paper! We can't even run credit checks on applicants. I'm ready to bail, but I'm afraid that I'll run into a long period of unemployment and fall behind on my bills (rent/car payments/tuition/etc.). What should I do?

Found out in Louisiana employees basically have no protection concerning labor laws except for minimum wage.

They want to change me from hourly to salary and I was wondering just how many hours they can require me to work in one day.

Has anyone had a similar situtation or has any suggestions.
According to the Baton Rouge office I can not refuse their request, but it seems that they want to negotiate a new pay rate, some how I feel like I will get screwed no matter what, unless someone has some good advise on negotiations?
