I dont understand your question. do you mean you are receiving a bill before your insurnace has paid? if so, that is common with most billing systems being automated, a bill is generated whether insurance has paid or not. if you mean your insurance has not been billed at all, check with the office and make sure they have your correct insurance information. People often assume that the physician office is aware of insurance changes, when often they are not. even if it something like the mailing address for claims changes, your dr may not be aware. It could also be that your group number or id number has changed, causing your insurance to "kick out" the claim.

bottom line, it is the patients responsibility to make sure the insurance is billed, not the doctor's. (many people do not realize this)

good luck and hope this helps!

No. Doctors billing the insurance company, on your behalf, is a courtesy that they do for you, the patient. They are under NO obligation to bill the insurance company AT ALL. Regardless of them billing the insurance company, YOU are still responsible for the payment of the bill for services.

No - as long as they do file on your insurance - most places file on insurance and mail you a bill at the same time!@~
