My dad says he has a few bills to pay and can't take out a loan because my he's currently going through a divorce. He initially for asked $1,000 but I offered only $700. He says he'll pay it back with interest within 14 days, but I guarantee that every person who has never paid someone back has always *said* they'll pay someone back. Is there any way I can get a guarantee that he would pay it back? Is there some legal method of doing this?

i am currently working for this company for less than a month, now another opportunity has come my way and i want to grab it, however they want me to report for work tomorrow so i need to resign within the day. I recently got a job working as an ordering associate for a medical supplies company. I was informed that its not necessary for you to list former jobs on your application if you were paid "under the table" or if they can not give a reference. My boss is a very strict, fundamentalist Christian, and is always talking about how this person or that person sinned and obviously need to get into church.

My boss' nephew came to visit her at work one day, and he informed my boss that he recognized me from his "sinful" days because I used to be a stripper. This was like, 5-6 years ago. My boss asked me if it was true, and I told her that I didn't like to talk about my past.

3 days later, my boss fired me for not providing accurate previous work information on my application. I feel that she's firing me for personal reasons because being a stripper doesn't go along with her religious beliefs. Can I do anything about this? Is this wrongful termination? Please help ...

who agrees that inteligence(talking about human inteligence)is it all. about hustlin and strugglin` in life with this thing u can go as high as u want..absolutly to ofthe top.

I will be looking for work within a few months and I have season tickets for 2 events every year...these tickets are always paid for a year in advance.... I worked for last 5yrs at the same place and always worked my vacations around these events..... my question to anyone with good advice is :

I need to make sure when I am hired for a new job that I can have these certain 3 days in July and the 3 days in September off....
but when is the right time to let them know about this.... when is it appropriate to request this or at least inform them of the season tickets? At the end of the interview? If called with a job offer let them know during the call?

Some of the money obtained by churches is uses for charitable purposes. Another portion is used for infrastructure. Another portion is used to promote the church and it's religion.

Yet with only some of the money used for charitable causes, shouldn't the tax exemption be pro-rated based on percentage of charitable work performed?

I work at a public library service desk.

Normally, I'm pretty good about calling in sick. Maybe once a month. Maybe.

About two weeks ago, I went into work. Came home sick. Called in the next day sick. I was sick then, but not as bad as this time...

Now this past Thursday, I definitely was down with flu-like symptoms. Called in Thursday. My days off are Friday and Saturday. Library was closed Sunday and Monday (today) for the holiday. Over the weekend, I had been having a fever for atleast three of those days. Coughing as well. Runny nose. The whole mess.

Now I'm due back to work tomorrow, but I have this enormous fever sore on my lip that's extremely visible. I'm still coughing and a bit congested, but not horrible.

How do I tell my boss in the morning? Or do you think I should go in and be sent home? What if the fever sore doesn't go away for another day or two?

Honestly, I'd rather get back to work. Hate being home sick.
