Well, you'll have to go through all his papers and/or bank records. If his wife won't let you, you'll have to go to court, getting a court order allowing YOU to be the executor of his estate, rather than his wife. That will NOT be an easy thing, in most states.

See if you can find out if there were any automatic payments being withdrawn from his checking accounts and/or social security check. Chances are if he didn't have a will, he may not have purchased life insurance especially if he is no longer employed. Good luck!

call the company he worked for and ask then what company does their medical and life insurance
