I am 17 years old and I worked all of 2006. I worked three jobs and now I want to know can I get my taxes filed. I heard since I am a minor, I legally can not file my own taxes but I could get my parent to do it for me. The Main question I am asking is since my mother still claims me on her taxes, can she file for the work I have done so I can get my money back?

Most of my savings is gone and I make very little money (like 600 month) and will no longer be able to pay them as I need to keep every last penny for my rent and basics , which will also run short soon. I have paid my cards for the past 10 years with no issues but since losing a fairly good paying job last year (good pay because of all the years I worked there) and have a job that pays little and I have to take a cab home from work in the evenings and also don't have a regular work schedule and work different shifts every week. There is no way I can pay my cards as I would have to make 3 times as much to cover everything and that isn't going to happen for me with no education. How long is it before they can do anything to me? I am going to send them a letter letting them know I can no longer pay.

I've sold a handful of things around the house over the last year over ebay and am looking for actual evidence on the web that says we have to report it, if we are not a business.

I don't really do this as a hobby either... its just a once in a while thing.

If I have to report it, then fine, but I am looking for any SPECIFIC info you can find that says we HAVE to report it.

I read an article that Ebay does not report sales to the IRS and really has no way of tracking if payments are made and how much money is actually changing hands... so... what do we do?

I have never been late on a rent payment.... My landlord came to my apt. today and told me (verbaly) that I had to be out in 5 days due to structural damage to the building that needed to be fixed. Is this legal? or can someone give me a website that would be helpful to me?
He said he needed to tare one of my walls out in my living room. This is the reason he gave. He then offered me to move everything into the back part of the apt and he would partition it off so it would buy me some more time to look.
I am in Iowa if this makes a difference state to state. Just blew me away though! 5 days???? how can he do that? HHHEEEEEELP!

Is opening a small business account from TD a good option? Or just use savings/investments as a key? I want to start a production company but I need a camera and that costs $3,000. I looked into leasing but the guy rejected me because of my age (18). So any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to surrender my ownership of a car. I have no income and no recources to make the payments. I want to transfer full ownership to my father, but he is actually a co-signer on the loan and his name is also on the title with mine. I don't think you could transfer ownership to someone whose name is already on the title. I really just want to take my name off it and leave his. Does anyone know how I could do this? (The car is registered in New York State.)

The homes are so overpriced for what is being sold. My husband and I would love to buy a home, but it is so expensive. For example: A two bedroom one bathroom home in a decent neigborhood goes for almost $400K. If were to go to a not so decent area the price of a similar house would be around $350K.

We are living in an apartment which is costing us $1600 per month (two bedroom in apt complex) and do not want to take out a hugh mortage to buy an overpriced home. We see our friends and family members suffering from buying homes with little money down and can not even make payments because the taxes are going up like crazy. What is going on? Why is this? Is Long Island turning into Beverly Hills, CA? Does anyone think the home prices will drop anytime soon? I keep hearing that homes are going to go down in price, so that is why my husband and I are holding off on taking out a hugh mortage to buy a home.

There is a HELOC on the home for $150k. Each undeveloped parcel is worth $75k. The appraisal shows the whole piece (undivided) to be worth $201k total. The home being worth $192k and the land worth $9k undivided. I asked why the land is so cheap and the appraiser said "they do not base values on future speculation". So my question is this: Can I survey and split the parcel into 3 tax lots even with a HELOC attached?

I am 19 and will have around a 700 FICO score after I pay all my credit cards off at tax time. I have had a full-time job for over a year now and make $9.25/hour. That puts my monthly gross income around $1,600. I am currently living at home with no housing expenses. I know most banks have a minimum income requirement of $1,500, but I am wanting to get approved for a maximum $12,000 used auto loan. I would like to carry the loan out over 60 months which would make my payment lower than I am paying now for a car payment. I would make sure the car I would get should have a great Loan to Value rate and would be reviewed highly. Is that good enough to get my loan?

If I need a co-signor, the only one I have makes about $27,000 yearly, but only $300/week is verifiable via paystubs (she is a waitress). Her credit score is about 630. Would that be enough to raise the combined income to get approved if I would need a co-signor?
