I work with a non-profit organization that is trying to raise money for its daily operations and to eventually move into a larger space. My question is are we able to put our funds into an interest bearing savings accounts until we have enough to work with? I believe right now everything is going into a standard checking account that is in the name of the organization. This seems like a bit of a waste when ING can pay 4 or 5% interest and not really tie the money up for a long period of time. Does any one know?

I have my eye on a home that is half finished being built. Exterior walls, windows, foundation, elec., heat and roof are installed. Only things needed are interior walls, appliances, fixtures, flooring, landscaping, and pool surfacing. What type of loan would be best suited to purchase and then finish this home? Purchase? Construction? Thanks.

I know that it is not the best way to decide on a job but I am hoping that one of you guys can give me a little advice that could nudge me in the right direction. After MONTHS of temporary work, I have finally been offered 2 brilliant roles. Both are Fashion Buyer roles. Role 1 is product I used to deal with/same suppliers/friendly company/decent travel but a 2hour commute to work. Role 2 is very prestigious product/people a little more aggressive/more kudos/1hour commute/slightly less salary/lots of travel. Both have their good and bad points. Believe me, I am weighing this up carefully and will not choose the job based solely on what is said here but if anyone has had a similar dilemma, I would be grateful for any advice....Thanks! x

I went to college but didn't graduate. I am of above average intelligence, I write very well, I'm well-rounded and a great worker. I'm a people-person, dedicated to the team and, according to my former bosses, a great employee. Now that I'm looking for work again I find that prospective employers won't talk to me -- AT ALL! -- despite what I can do for them, for the simple fact that I don't have that piece of paper. It's frustrating because I know I'm more accomplished and experienced, let alone intelligent and capable, then many people with a degree. Going back to school is not an option right now. I want someone to look beyond the lack of degree situation and see that I'm more than capable of handling any challenge handed to me.

I am in a bind... My wife left me and I cannot afford my mortgage without her salary. She does not care if we default on the loan. I don't want to file for bankruptcy.

The house was built 2 years ago and is in perfect shape. It has been on the market for 2 months, but I haven't received any offers.

Do I have any alternatives to filing for bankruptcy?

Thanks for the help.

My question is, what can I do to solve my problem of getting my private student loan out of default. It already went to a collection agency. Realisticly I can pay it off, but it would years to do so. I don't make that much money and the money that I do make I barely can pay my bills. So If anyone can give some advice what to do.

I've been working in a small office for 4 years. I work closely with Jan. She has been there for 8 years and practically runs the company herself. The owner of the company wants to go into semi-retirement & have Jane run everything. Jan knows what's going on better than the owner does. Two weeks ago, Jan had an argument with the owner's wife outside of work. Although their argument was settled, the wife has been very cold & rude whenever she comes into the office. The owner's wife does light office work and is in & out whenever she pleases. Jan is getting really fed up with her rudeness. Jan told me that if her attitude doesn't change soon, she'll look for another job. This would be a huge problem for the company since the owner relies on Jan so much. I don't know if he sees what's going on between his wife and Jan. Should I say something to the owner? What would I say? Should I stay out of it? If Jan leaves, I'm leaving too because I know there would be a huge strain on the company.

We already offer a $150 quarterly bonus for meeting the production goal, however, the employees don't seem to be interested in that type of incentive.
