I'm going to the mall with a few friends, and I want to buy a really cute bag. But I have no money. Can you please make some suggestions?
Oh and for the people who'll suggest becoming a hooker, don't bother answering.

Basically, we've been keeping a dog in a no pets allowed apartment for a very long time. The landlord gave us fair warnings and threats to get rid of it but as he doesn't live in the building, we've been able to avoid both. He hadn't come around for a very long time until recently and although we've managed to avoid talking to him in person, he'll probably be giving us an eviction notice straight away for breach of contract.

We'd get the apartment professionally cleaned before leaving (um, we've managed to turn the carpet into quite a mess...) but my real question is this: The apartment lease is not under my father's name. It's under the name of a friend of the family and he doesn't live in the country anymore. I remember the landlord threatened to ruin our credit report but since the information laid down was not ours, what are the possible scenarios that could happen in our situation?

Typically this would be an easy calcuation but due to peak seasonal periods( during the months from May til Sept ) I'm paid tons of overtime (130 +hour on average per check)

I want to propose the best/ most reasonable salaried amount that compensates me for the overtime I will lose during out peak periods.

It seems that more and more companies are requiring you to submit your salary requirements when responding to a job post. I don't want to short-change myself, but I dont want to overshoot their budget either. Somtimes it seems that a company will hire the lowest salary bidder as opposed to the best qualified applicant. Am I alone in thinking this way?

I recently left my apt last month. I left if as it was given to me. Except the carpet cleaning. The landlord shorted me $ 100.00 for paint. I took pictures of the walls the day i left and there was no need for the walls to be painted. She told me that it was painted when i moved in when it wasn't. Now i don't want her to get away with it cuz i left the apartment clean and the walls were clean. Can anyone give me any information on how i can solve this issue? or any websites i can research?

I make 60K a year, and I pay 25K in interest on my mortgage every year. Does that mean that my taxable income is 35K? I file as a single. How much can I expect to get back this year? Last year I got 2K in returns, but that's before I bought a home. Thanks!

I'm having problems with getting my insurance company to pay for services, and I need help figuring out what I will be responsible for, after insurance has paid all that they are going to pay. It's a PPO plan.

Basically, recent maternity bills cost around $5300, but my plan is only paying $3500. Per their own words about the denial:

"This self funded health plan provides benefits for obstetrical care at 100% of eligible charges for participating providers. The member was approved for a waiver, to allow in-network benefits for a non-participating provider. The claim was processed in-network. The payment explanation indicates that the covered amount of $3594.05 was reimbursed to the provider. The provider is not a participating provider, therefore; can bill the amount not covered to the member."

My question: Am I obligated to pay any balance beyond what insurance covers? I've tried appealing which did nothing. So am I legally responsible to pay the balance?

Thanks.

My roommate had bad credit and purchased a couch under my name, proceeded to sell it on Ebay and then gamble the money away. Now a law firm has contacted me saying they are suing me and I will be responsible for attorney's fees and court costs. My credit has been damaged anyway due to other things with my old roommate. Should I be worried that they will sue and force me to pay it by taking it out of my paycheck or taxes?
