I don't have to do my taxes? I hate filling out paperwork.

No, you still have to do your taxes. You may get a refund or you may owe more.

It really depends on several factors. If you make sure uncle sam is getting what you owe him then, No you dont have to file your taxes. However, It is wise to do so. Many companys like to see back tax returns for "home buying". By not doing your taxes you also are letting Uncle Sam keep what they owe you if any. I have been employed since age 16 and have always filed my taxes (except when I didnt make over like 400 per year then I didnt have to file). Be wise File.

That would be nice wouldn't it! But the answer is no, you'll still have to do your taxes. You can do them online and it's cheap and easy, possibly free depending on how much you make. You can also use telefile if the IRS sends you the paperwork.

You still have to file. You could be getting money back or you might owe.

If you don't like paperwork, hire an accountant to do it for you.

No. It means the government gets to use your money interest free until you file your return and determine if you get any of it back, or if you owe even more.
