I know of a company that got quite a bit of insurance money after a hurricane in florida because the building was damaged and their inventory was damaged. I have overheard them say that they have written off all of their inventory because it was a total loss but I know for a fact that they still have quite a bit of inventory here and are selling it. I work for this company and enter all orders that come through the door.I thought that was illegal to do cause they got insurance money for the damaged stuff and also wrote it off.

Can a merchant charge your credit card but delay processing your order?
I placed an order a number of days ago through EBGames with overnight shipping, I have yet to receive my package. The sights saids usually ships in 24 hours. But my card was charged days ago and the order still has not been processed. So I called them up and they are trying to tell me it takes up to 72 hours to process my order because the shipping and billing addresses differ. I have never heard of this. They said they got to call and verify, yet I was on the phone with them and they had already billed me for the items that are in stock.
I was under the impression you cannot bill a customer like this with a credit card until your actually processing the order.

And what specific effect does the economy have on corporate America?

I would like to learn the relationship between those two.

I don't want to sound too ignorant, but I would like to know the specifics for an essay. Using search engines did nothing except confuse me even more.

Thank you in advance.

Im a 25 yr old guy with a degree in economics(doesn't really seem to do much for me). I've had some shitty jobs since graduating a couple years ago(claims adjuster, data entry in an office). I can't seem to find anything decent. Should I take a bank teller job and try to move up in the company to maybe a credit analyst or loan officer?

We had a buyer for our house and the estate agent said she was a cash buyer but..... two weeks later it worked out she did not have enough money (we had already dropped once and could not afford to go any lower) thus we lost our buyer and the house we wanted to buy (it actually worked out the house we wanted had been under offer by the same estate agent all along to someone else!) We still had 1 weeks contract with this estate who had lied to us and within that week they found us another buyer, they said she was cash and not in chain, we accepted her offer and finally found another property with another estate agent (our offer on this property was only excepted because we had no chain) But a month down the line we have found out our second buyer is actually in a chain and the chain has broken down so we may lose this property too. All because the estate agent lied to us again, we have been left with the extra costs of valuations etc what are our ritghts, do we have any...
