Corporations and social responsibility?

Is it a conflict of interest for corporations to determine what constitutes socially responsible behaviour? What, if any, responsibility do corporations have to areas of social justice?

Actually, they have no responsibility whatsoever. If they choose to act on their own, it is for public relations purposes. So long as a corporation acts within the bounds of the law, it is no more constrained than you or I and, quite frankly, I have no desire to have any outsider telling me how to run my life.

They do not have any social responsibility. The should be acting ethically, but they don't have to act socially. If they do, it is for public relations (usually in the areas which use their services and the brand is well-known or an area which is in desperate need and they want the citizens of the community to remember which company helped them out so that the citizens are more likely to use their brand when they are back on their feet.)
