"So as not to offend non white employees working in the canteen it is forbidden to ask for black coffee, instead you are to ask for coffee without milk". Do you think these sort of rules and regulations harm race relations ? Is this Political Correctness gone nuts ? By the way the canteen employees were all horrified. This memo came from the management of a very well known finance organisation which a friend of mine works at.

I checked all three reports but didn't see anything. Some people have told me that it wouldn't show up in the reports but would only be reflected on my score.?

Who can you complain to the IRS about? My boyfriend claimed our child two y.o child for the Feb 05 tax season (last years). However he has been given the run around since then with submitting documents and proving he is the father. All forms have been submitted and when he calls weekly they say it is still being processed. The new tax year is coming and we want to get this issue resolved before it happens again. We think the problem is that he claimed 1 on his w-2's and didn't change it after our sons birth. However, shouldn't the IRS be able to work around that by telling him to change his dependant status and fix this small problem. By the way he files his taxes on his own. Anyway, how in the heck do you go about proving you are the father of a child (he's been here since birth) besides the birth certificate, ss card.

Its for a rental property in North Carolina where I previously lived.
The property manager sent me a letter stating I still owe $400 because my deposit was only $100.
$500 sounds like a lot of money to fix small repairs. Do I have the right to get an itemized list that shows where my money went?

Given a imaginary lump sum - say £200k - if you choose to invest in unit trusts over the long term and want to live off what it could produce. Would you be better investing in income trusts and taking the income or investing all in growth and selling lumps as its needed
(and maybe when the market is high).

I have been employed with a hospital in full time status for over 90 days but not 90 days worked (about 70 actual working days). I work nights and worked the eve of thanksgiving at 11pm when their rules start to recieve holiday pay. I just got my check today and was paid only regular time for the holiday because I was full time. I called accounting today who said the problem was that I was clocking in under eduction and technically since I was under orientation status I will not be paid time and a half for the holiday. This employer is behind and we have to clock in by telephone, is it my fault b/c they gave me the wrong code to clock in under all of this time? Should I contact my labor board with this issue. What is the website or number for my area in Illinois?

Hi
I've got the 3 days in between Christmas & New Year 27-29 Dec I think it is.
I have nothing planned but that not the point.
I previously reduced my holiday in September because there was no cover in which time mentioned the person training to do my job had Xmas off as well.
This was forgotten I reminded them nearly two weeks ago now it has come to if I don't cancel I have to train the MD, basically don't want to back down but feel I have too but every one tells me not too but if I don't I 'll only come back to lots of work and be behind it's not worth it. Should I ask for a pay rise or Xmas bonus? I just don't know how to go about it Md has out in her diary times for me to train her as if. It feels like black mail.

I worked for a guy who verbally abuses his employee's and he also does not follow any of the pennsylvania labor laws. I was denied unemployement due to the fact that I quit. I need to know if anyone has proven unsuitable work enviroment and won and what kind of proof you need to win your appeal.

We had a bunch of activity and showings in the late summer and fall but none in the last several weeks. I'm wondering if between the current housing market and the crummy Chicago winter (12" snow today!) it might be better to pull it now and relist it in Feb/Mar. Does that set off any flags in MLS that might scare away potential buyers or their agents? Or is that better than having a house next spring that's been on the market for 8 months straight?

Look forward to any advice!

I have developed an allergy to isothiazolinone. It is used to stablize coolant in industrial settings. It is also found in some shampoo, laundry soap, inks, ect. I believe I may have been over exposed to it at work. I lost a workmans compensation claim because it is found in many products. I have been off my job for five months and have not had another skin infection.
My employer said they were looking for a different job, but it is slow there now and most jobs involve chemical contact.
Should I wait this out or find a new job and quit ? Previous to this job I had worked for a company for 25 years without a skin problem. It is only my hands that where affected.
I worry about how this willeffect my work record. Is it best to wait it out or find a new job. This had been a very good paying job.

Thanks for any suggestions

I sent away for my credit report a little while back. I had to send a copy of my drivers license as proof that it was me wanting my report as well as paid the fee to get it. When I recieved it I found a name which was not mine oweing someone I have never heard of before in my life. The name had my first name only spelled differently, the middle name wasn't even close to my middle name, and the last name was the same as mine. When I contacted the reporting agency they said the only way it could be removed was if the one who reported it to them had it removed. So I contacted the one that reported it to them and explained everything and they said there was nothing they could do and the only way it would be removed was if I paid the debt owed. Now why should I pay a debt I don't owe? Any suggestions besides paying out money for a lawyer to handle this?

I need a credit card.I live in Greece but can't get one here because I have Albanian citizenship. Also I work part-time and make 300 $/month so I don't pay taxes and can't proove that I am actually making some money. My boss doesn't give me a documet (or something) wich say that he pays me those 300$/month.
I asked the banks but they say I have to prove them what money I earned the last 3 months.
I was wondering is there any International Bank wich will give a card without many questions.
Just tell me anyother way you can think!
Thank you
