When you think about it, there is only a two year difference. When one is 18 the other will be 20; is there anything wrong with that.
The major thing here is that in terms of growth, adolescence and maturation, the 16 year old is far more ready to tackle a romantic relationship, emotionally, than the 14 yr old. Also think of this, when the older is 18, and the other is 16, it can be considered sagitory rape. (I guess depending on the rules of your state)
Perhaps it should wait until both are adults.

A two year difference is generally not a problem, but developmentally, a 16 year old is more advanced sexually than a fourteen year old. If I had a fourteen year old daughter, I would likely want her to wait for a couple of years before dating and then, I wouldn't object to a 16 year old girl going out with an 18 year old guy.

Your chum isn't thoroughly incorrect. from time to time a 2 12 months age massive difference (in intense college) will be a touch puzzling - for some human beings. yet in case you say that he's genuine and neither of you've a difficulty with it, bypass for it. He sounds like a sturdy guy from what you say, so why no longer? 2 years isn't that a lot, and also you're both less than 18, so i do not see any problem. there's no reason to experience uncertain purely because what one chum stated. sturdy success, and that i'm hoping I helped!

No. But at 14 and 16 don't go planning your life around it. See how things look at 15 and 17 first.

I'm sure that people will answer that it is, but they're fine with a 14 year old boy being seduced by a 25 year old plus teacher and the more attractive she is, the more everyone laughs it off.

Nope, be careful though, make decisions about how far you want to go now so that you don't get caught up in the moment and do things you might regret.

there will be something seriuosly wrong in two years, why not just go out with people your own age until you're 18,
andthen at that point just date people 18 and up

Not necessarily, but it depends on the kids involved, the situation, the parental support, and the spiritual values of both persons and their families.
