Legal Question reagrding employers!!?
If a employer leaks information about a employee are they held accountable for that information that was leaked? A supervisor told a non employee that someone was going to get fired and in turn the non employee told the person that was going to get fired. What can the person that was going to get fired do? and does that fall under the Privacy Act. I went to a lawyer about this and they said they couldnt do anythign about it and that the Privacy act has nothing to do with it.

I want to open a kid fun and kid safe card/ comic & toy shop. school. I don't have very much start up funds, nor the greatest credit. There's a trade center (Gibraltar Trade Center) consit of several booths with small business, mine is a little card/toy shop wich is a busy place. I have probably only 400 sq ft. This place is always packed. I haveve acess to the show area, so I have a nice size area yu-gi-oh, Magic,& other tournaments. The problem is the trade center's only open 3 days a week and just raised their rent to $1200 a month. For about $800 more(everything included) I have found a building right next to a high school and elementry school, in a plaza perfect location! what I would offer incentives for kids to keep good grades by giving store credit for good grades. I think school is impportant. Do you think the school, or church would help raise funds to keep kids of the street? Even if they don't, what are some good fundraising ideas? More detail in my profile. Any ideas?

I got a notice in the mail yesterday that after review, my interest rate is going from 10.99% to 29.94% in January 2007!!

I called Chase and was told that even though I have perfect credit and have an excellent record with them, their risk department has seen that I am using over 50% of my credit limit on more than one card and so they are cracking down on me. They are "worried" that I won't be able to continue paying them back.

This is crap! I make more than the minimum payment every month, and have busted my butt to keep my credit blemish free.

I was fortunate enough to be able to take an opt-out option which means that I will keep my low rate for another 6 months, and then they will do another review. If I still am in the same situation thought, they will send me another notice and jack my rates up.

Why is it that they have to stick it to the good customers? Once I have my balance paid off I am taking my business elsewhere.

Found an awesome property, but it was listed as "pending, continue to show". Called about it, was told that there was a good chance the buyer would be unable to close. Viewed the property. Was basically stonewalled until the last minute, the seller's realtor waiting for the actual closing date (ignored requests for additional info on the home, etc.)
Last minute, we were advised that it would not close, and invited to make an offer, with no official deadline. Scraped together an offer, only to get EMAIL (no calls) from the seller's agent saying that they could wait no longer and would extend the original buyer a week. Faxed the offer anyway, NO response.
The next week 2 days before close the agent called my agent saying that it was 100% certain to close, but NO word since! Tax site still shows original owner, property is still listed on all sites, sign still in yard, so signs of any change. We have no way to know if our offer was even shown to seller! Illegal, or just UNETHICAL?

Ladies - have you ever been "too busy" to go to the bathroom at your job? What's the longest you ever have gone without using the bathroom at work?

And how come men are never "too busy to go to the bathroom" at work (we always manage to make time to go, no matter how busy we are)?

Your employer has asked for your input on filling a crucial executive position in a country where females have been historically oppressed and relegated to the lowest-paying and most demeaning jobs. What's more, if this position is not filled immediately, the company risks the loss of a multi-million dollar business contract. However, the most qualified candidate by far happens to be a woman. So what advice would you give your employer?
