Dear Sir:

I have been at my job many years with at least most of these years working 8 or more hour shifts until the business closes. Recently, new management took over and they changed by schedule and some days in the week they send me home early after only a few hours. I feel that they over hired and there is not enough hours for everyone. And this afftected the schedule that i was used to working for many years. Can a business do this to long term employees, because it does not seem right to change an employee's schedule who has dedicated their life to helping the company. Also, there have been days where they scheduled me to work double shifts, which I have difficulty doing with a herniated disc permanent disability. Is this allowed. And does the Florida Statute 448.01 below state that when I work more than 10 hours in a day that I should receive more than my normal hourly wage for every hour over 10 hours? 448.01 Legal day's work; extra pay.-- (1) Ten hours of labor shall be a legal day's work, and when any person employed to perform manual labor of any kind by the day, week, month or year renders 10 hours of labor, he or she shall be considered to have performed a legal day's work, unless a written contract has been signed by the person so employed and the employer, requiring a less or greater number of hours of labor to be performed daily. (2) Unless such written contract has been made, the person employed shall be entitled to extra pay for all work performed by the requirement of his or her employer in excess of 10 hours' labor daily.

I hate this realtor, she has reduced the price of my house WITHOUT consulting me. I spent 25k on a custom brick driveway, she said "The neighbors don't like it" Why would she talk to them anyway? She has insulted my decor, Told me she will not answer emails if I send her too many. (3 is too many for her) .Which I rely on as I am in Houston, TX. She was supposed to list the house 48 hours after we signed the contract, it has been Since Sept 5, 2006. What is a LEGAL way to terminate her contract?
She's horrible. I bought new fixtures for the house before I left. She removed them and bought new ones with a fund I left for "just in case repairs" she was not autorised to make the purchases.
I want her gone, Please, does anyone have suggestions on the LEGAL way to terminate my contract with her?

Please no Stupid goofy answers, I really need help!!

I have been given a months notice by employer, I have since got a new job and they want me to start immediatly. I have never signed a contract with my current employer, I have asked them if I can leave early but they are refusing to let me leave. Do I have to stay until the end of the month, or can I leave early and not be as pusnished for it. Have been advised that becasue I don't have a signed contract I can leave any time I like and don't have to work my notice period.

Please give me your advice or point me in the direction of a website that would be able to help me find the answer.

I am buying a house on Saturday the inspector came in to check out the house I paid him a check for 225 dollars, My question is this if I go back and tell my realtor I want the things found wrong with the house fixed. If the seller agrees to fix the items found on the sellers report, Can the inspector come back to reinspect the house again to make sure the items he found on the house were fixed? And if so do I have to pay him again to have the house reinspected?

My boss is on vacation for the next 2 weeks. I know some of what she does on a daily basis, but not enough. I am going to be bombarded the next 10 work days by the guys in this office (none of which can do much of anything on their own). What is the best way to handle everything that comes my way? I've told myself to just do one thing at a time, remain calm, and when 5pm comes - run from the building. I don't do overtime. But what else can I do? I am a nervous wreck right now, like the calm just before the big storm. Any words of wisdom? I feel totally unqualified to do her job.

A co-worker told me that she recently logged into the database, printed out our customer mailing list, and sild it to various list subscribers for her "petty cash fund" since she didn't get a raise increase that she deserved.

What do I do??
Tell a human resource staff member?
Tell other co-workers?
Wish she hadn't told you and not say anything to anyone?!

I am a career accounting professional who is thinking about starting my own bookkeeping firm in Southern California. I don't know if bookkeeping firms charge their clients by the hour or if they instead charge a flat monthly rate. We will do all facets of bookkeeping except for preparation of income taxes. If professional bookkeeping firms charge by the hour, then how much? If they charge a flat rate for full service bookkeping, then how much?
