I'm planning on opening a massage therapy business. Unfortunately, my business will be close to a city where there are plenty of skeezy massage parlors that cater to men who are looking for a "happy ending". Therefore I don't want the word massage in the name of my store. I'm thinking something with the word "relaxation" or "revitalization" in the title. Thanks for helping!

I have a feeling that my former employer is giving out bad references. I want to check this and find out for certain, but I don't know what kind of questions to ask without it being obvious that I'm not really a prospective employer.

Any tips?

Thanks!

I am seeking a degree in a field that is unrelated to the job I am currently in. The classes I am seeking reimbursement for are just for the general education credits (Math and English), but I need to explain how they will "improve my skills with relationship to my job". For some reason, I am drawing a blank... I just don't want to get turned down for reimbursement. Anyone have any suggestions on how to word that section?
Thanks!

Oh - my degree will be science/biology based, and I'm working in Manufacturing right now.

Does anyone have ANY ideas on what I should do next?

s it true that in the state of Califonia that an employer can not deny health benefits to an employee because they have a pre-existing condition?

I was told by my husband's HR gal, (They don't have a department), that Blue Cross would not cover his pre-existing condition even if he signed up through his employer's health plan/contract.

Then I was told by someone else that he can get benefits, but that Blue Cross might raise the employer's contracted premium if someone comes on board with a pre-existing condition and this is why they are discouraging him from signing up.

Bleh! I can't get a straight answer from these people and I don't know who to call.

Labor Commissioner is for pay related issues only, not health benefits.

Good or well-paying jobs always require some experience whether it be 1 or 5 years. How do you gain experience if no company is ever willing to train? Wouldn't companies rather have someone with limited experience to be able to train them the way they want? I have a college degree and plenty of experience in healthcare but I am looking to change career fields. Most of my business experience is transferrable ascross many industries, however, I have no industry experience for the one I am looking to get into. How do you ever gain this experience if you are never given a chance?
