What loan should I payoff first? I have two loans, Car Loan at 5% @ 255month, and Student Loans at 9% @ 135month. Both have about 11-12k in principal left on them. I just graduated from college and I'm not sure what to do. Thanks

Finally want to make an offer on a unit in a new loft condo. The unit is now at the asking price of 209k , it has been on the market for about 300 days now, yes just a few more months and it will be a year. Out of the 97 units they have they have still 27 units most the same size . They have no sold a unit in a month, we orginally went to see them over a month ago and the avaibilty was still the same this past week.
We reserached and the other units the same size and price range so0ld from 197k to 204k before they started offering 10k off any unit.
In my opinion the new offer range would then be between 187 and 194.
We were told that they are REALLY looking to sell and want to move on.
IS 185k to much of a low ball offer, or does it seem about right?
Going tomorrow to make an offer..I would like to keep the price between 185k-190k

I am doubtful I will have any luck here... however.. I thought I would try. My husband and I have moved from Southern California to Las Vegas NV and we don't like it here at all. Well... let me be more clear... I don't like it here at all. The stress of the move, and my general depression about being here, I think is causing havok on my marriage and I am becoming more and more depressed.

I work from home, and as long as I have an internet connection... I can work. My husband has plenty of experience, and in a few months we can have enough money to move somewhere else.

However... we are in a year lease here.

Is there anyway I can get out of it early, or do I really have to be stuck in this transient dung heap for another 11 months???

I have an opportunity to get into a positon that I have a degree in in my company. I have been actually doing that position as well as my normal job for some time with out compensation. I was told by upper management that they would open that new position and give it to me. Now I am told that they are opening it up and I have to compete for it. I have not received a raise for all I have done as well. I revamped their corporate image, created various ads amd campaigns and worked extra hours.

What are my rights in this? Is there anything I can do? Or should I start looking for a job and add this experience to my resume?

I started working in the shop while I went to college. Over the years I progressed through the company, General Labor, Machine Operator, Dept. Head, Engineer, Manager, Plant Manager then General Manager.
This is really the only job of note that I have had. How do I keep it from raising any "red flags" on a resume or during an interview?

I need to advertise the companies new apartment off studio rooms. It is a residence for students only and the cost is £140 - £180 per week. I have 300 rooms to get filled by november. Any ideas or suggestions to go about it?

It is in Angel and the rooms have spectacular views, it is monitured by security over night and the company is very selective on who gets to stay as it has a very good reputation and high levels off standards.

The company also accepts bulk bookings. For example: If a Uni wanted to booked upto 30 rooms for however long they wish too then an arrangement can be made.

I am open to any ideas, suggestions, experience or offers to help me accomplish this task. Even if you don't thinkits worth mentioning, Im all ears as every single bit off information made lead onto something big.

Thanks for reading this and I appreciate all your contributions.

The reason for my request is because I have an exam for my masters admissions coming up in mid November. To get sufficient prep time, and to put me in the groove to take the exam, I prefer working from 8AM to 5PM. My usual shift schedules are 2PM-10PM and 10PM to 6 AM (night shift). These schedules leave me drained and tired. What I plan to suggest to my boss (who is in a different geographical location) is to allow me to come in the 8-5 shift for the 3 weeks prior to the exam.

What I want to know, is how best I can put this across to him, without him turning down my request? I feel there is no need for me to take leave off from work to prepare, but just a change in the shift would give me sufficient time in the evenings to study.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

If I list them in order from most current it would go
Engineering Manager
General Manager
Engineering Manager

I don't want to lie and say I am still General Manager and leave out the current Engineering Manager, but I don't want it to be interpreted that I was demoted due to poor performance.

Since I have looked at several resumes in my time I know how easily a good candidate can get turned down just based on something being "off" on the resume. I just have never seen this situation on a resume.

Help, please.

One of our co - worker cried about his family problems like mother's ill health, son's education etc etc and asked a good amunt of money as help on returnable basis.

However, after getting his share of help, he became unresponsive and slowly it is turning into bad debt.

The worry is the change in our perception to help other people bcos of his bad habit of not paying the dues on the time. Hence to safeguard self, this question.

We have decided not to argue, ask and confront him.
