If I list them in order from most current it would go
Engineering Manager
General Manager
Engineering Manager

I don't want to lie and say I am still General Manager and leave out the current Engineering Manager, but I don't want it to be interpreted that I was demoted due to poor performance.

Since I have looked at several resumes in my time I know how easily a good candidate can get turned down just based on something being "off" on the resume. I just have never seen this situation on a resume.

Help, please.

demanding question, yet i'd say that you took a 'diverse' position to reacquaint your self with the technologies. Being on the proper can make you... distant from the employees, and also you knew that by skill of taking an engineering pastime, you'd be able to bigger suited understand and synergize the crew. Now that you've 'carried out a at the same time as', you're prepared to take your new got here across skills and take care of with a clearer understanding of the total business enterprise. Make each flow, a step up (both in duty or in better rounded pastime understanding). Write down the flaws that you 'received' contained in the engineering position. that would help you 'promote' it. good success

I'd call the general manager job just engineering manager. It will be easier at an interview to explain that they are getting more than they bargained for.
