I just sold my jeep grand cherokee for 16,000, it was paid off so i have all that to spend, I'm buying a 07 convertible eclipse for 26,000 from a personal seller so it wont include tax. I will be financing 10,000, or atleast trying. I have a savings of a little over 8,000, but i dont want to put it all on my car i would just like to pay payments, do you think it will be possible for me to get a loan on the car for 10,000 if i put 16,000 down at my age and my credit?? And if so, about how much will my interest and payments be for 48 months. Thanks for the help.

I noticed in my policy they don't cover "Acts of God" (referring to God-provoked events like floods & earthquakes). I'm an atheist... so couldn't I challenge this in court, forcing the insurance company to prove God exists (or else cover me for damages?)

I am interested in legitimate work-at-home businesses in transcription/typing, copy editing or Web based businesses (either design or selling).

Please answer with personal experiences working at home. I would prefer something with no start-up costs, but would consider a small fee IF it could be proven legitimate.

I have been watching the job market for a while now and I have noticed that there are many bad jobs that pay very little, while good jobs for mid career executives with an industrial background are hard to come by.

Does anybody have some good suggestion on how to approach a career change without taking an income hit or going back to school?.

A few people at work have suggested to me that I change my W4 information for my upcomming large commision checks. I have 2 planned for the 20th Oct and 5th Nov. Normal tax on my salary checks are about 23% but the upcoming checks will be for about 7k each and Im afraid Im going to pay out the @ss in taxes.

What should I say on my W4 that would help me avoid losing most my check, but still wont ding me to bad at the end of the year???

thanks guys!

This is only for people who know about 401K and 401K loans. Kiddies, scammer, and beggars - stay out or you'll be reported.

The money that goes into 401K loan is pre-tax. Say I take out $30K as a loan at 10% for 5 years. I re-pay myself monthly, so the interest is not a big deal (I'm the bank). The problem as I see it, is that I'm repaying with 'after-tax' money. How can I figure out what the loan is actually costing me? Let's assume tax rate of 30%. I know that there are many other variables (like initial loan fee and the fact that the money that I take out is not earning interest, dividents, etc.), but just want clarification on after-tax payments for a pre-tax fund. Thanks
