I get e-mails asking me to bring money into this country. Has any e-mailed these people back to see if there is a genuine one or do you find they are all con's. Have you ever telephoned them and has anyone been caught.

Letter came from a collection agency from CA. We don't have any idea where our records could be from 1990 thought we only had to keep for 7 yrs. Even bank mirco only goes back 10 yrs. First we have heard that our taxes were not considered right. Collection agency says amount is substantial. We know that taxes were deducded by employer and that we filed each year. Don't know what we are getting into by calling this collection agency. Are fearful (as are most people) about calling the state of VA dept. of taxation without having records that go back 16 years.

Some of my dads retirement just ran out, meanwhile he's making payments on a vehicle that is his only means of transportation......he's now 3 months behind and has about 2 weeks to catch up......im at the end of my rope in helping him financially...is there anything that can be done????...His health isnt that great, and I feel if he loses this it will only get worse.

Her husband supposedly died, leaving eight million pounds sterling in some Security-something. Since, she, herself, supposedly isn't going to last many more months, she would like the money to be used for the less-fortunate, to a particular thing. Now- i am very puzzled. Now- I'm not against someone picking me to leave me their millions......, but I'm not going to get scammed either! Have her "Name", how can this b checked out!
I realize people get very ill, and many times they don't have children or anybody else- some times they just pick someone to leave their money to! BUT I DO Accept- only if it's the real deal!

So- my question is- how can I check it out?

I want to buy a 4 to 6 unit building & also live there. I know I would have to buy a builing that needs to be refurbished. I know lots of people who are able (& willing) to help fix it up, but no one is able to be an "angel investor". My job now, I get building permits for my company, so I even know who to talk to, to get the paperwork through faster! I am just trying to find a way to raise funds to get my dream started. My credit is ok (upper 600's). It's that way because I have almost NO credit (just got most bad stuff off after being a victim of identy theft). I still am unable to get a credit card (unless I pay extra $$ every year).

Any suggestions on how to start? I am in Orlando now, can move towards OH, PA, or NY. Thanks.

I know I should pay off the high interest rated ones first but since I only owe 50.00 on one that has a medium interest rate shouldn't I pay that off and close it leaving my card total down to 4?
I have been told to not close my cards instead pay the balance(s) when I can but doesn't it look worse on my credit report when I have a large credit amount I can borrow from?
