i made a deposit at an atm at my bank. I marked the deposit to be $240 and i actually put $280 in the envelope. will i get what i put or what i said i was putting? thanks

i would be at the branch where I made that atm deposit when they opened monday.. see the mgn ,if you cant be there call 1st thing monday

I have done this a few times. The bank will make the correction for you. You may want to call the branch manager at the bank you made the deposit at just to give them a heads up. I have never had a problem with the bank not being honest.

Your account will credit the $240. that you entered until a ATM person goes through and counts the actually deposit, then your financial institution should credit the rest of the deposit to you. This usually happens in the afternoon of the next business day from the deposit.

Call your bank and let them know you are aware of the mistake. Don't trust a teller when you aren't there. Ask that they call you when they get your deposit to confirm the correct transaction.

the monye will be counted and the account given the full 280.00. do not worry, bank tellers are by and large honest folks. they have to be, there are too many checks and balances and even more cameras

If its Star Bank They'll hold it a couple of weeks, then put you down for the $240.00
