I answered a question of this nature the other day. My response was "It means someone has a hole in their pocket". I can not find that question to see if the person got any serious answers. My guess is that they removed it because of the sarcastic and mean answers. Anyway, since I answered that question I have started finding DIMES EVERYWHERE - in the house, in the car, in the store, in parking lots, etc. It is weird. I'm used to finding pennies, BUT dimes. I'll gladly pick them up though! I found a dollar's worth today. At this rate I might need a bigger piggy bank.

I have a pending misdemeanor allegation and am going through a bunch of job interviews. They love me, but when they run the check the pending litigation comes through and they won't hire me. I need to find a company that does not do criminal background checks.

I was just offered a job after 3 interviews and tests. After each meeting I e-mailed a thank you to the person in charge of the interviews. Today I got the job! Yay!

Now, do I just not contact them for the 2 weeks before I start there, or would it be nice to send a card or something?

I'm job hunting. After submitting my resume to a company in response to an ad, I do a follow-up call a week or two afterward. How many times should I follow up via calling or e-mail? I'm getting tired of this. I don't enjoy this and I may be getting on the person's nerves.

Same question about cold calling. I've done it recently to get some freelance work. I targeted some places and called each one once a week for about 4 weeks. I got some no's (where I reached the target person), one maybe (but the guy gave me the creeps so I deleted him off the list), and some nonresponses. I've alternated between e-mails and phone calls. Usually I have to leave a message. Do I continue calling the people who have not responded? I feel like I'm hassling them. Obviously, cold calling is new to me, and I don't like it, but if that's what you have to do, then okay, I'll do it.

When do you stop calling? People can respond to my e-mails, thereby avoiding a call from me. But they don't. What do I do?

Long story short...

My mom got a roommate last month.

1) She let him take her car to go buy at pair of pants at 8:00pm and didnt return until the next morning with two BS lies about what happened. After that she gave him his eviction notice which states he needs to be gone on the 9th of next month. We just found out from a co-worker he was too high to drive her car back home.

2) He claimed to be the head chef at a country club, but is just a line chef making half of what he claimed.

3) The manager at his work JUST called my mom and left a message for her to call back asap. She called him back and he said they fired the tenant for lying and is believed to be on drugs. The tenant lies and claims he quit.

4) A worker at the tenants now old job tells my mom he was spotted doing drugs in the park (meth or something)

She doesn't feel safe. Can we do immediate eviction?? We are in Arizona

I am planning on majoring in engineering, but I don't know what type would be best for me. I love math and science (but sciece just because it uses a lot of math). I'm good at solving problems and being creative. The environment doesn't really interest me and although I use computers a lot, I'm not good at doing anything except basic tasks on them (so no programing). At this point in time, I'm definitely leaning towards aerospace, but I've been told that job options are limited and I should rethink my decision. Please help me, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh by the way, I've taken biology, chemistry, and calculus ab and gotten 5's on all the tests. I really like calc and I'm currently taking calc bc.

I'm answering supplemental questions for a city position. The job posting mentions to avoid answering the 5 questions with more than 3 pages. It doesn't specify if I have to double space or not. Do I have to single space, double space, or does it even matter? Thanks for your help! Greetings! =)

Can anyone tell me if this company is serious? http://www.paidsurveyscom.info/free - It's taken me ages to find a company that has no signup costs, 99% of them charge a start up fee. They pay you to participate and complete online surveys which can earn you up to $25 per survey. I don't have much money at the moment thats why i am looking for another income, I've heard about this sort of work but sometimes it seems to good to be true. Anyway I just signed up about 15 minutes ago and I am still trying to work it all out. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I was told last year that my loans and credit cards will be payed off automatically when I die. I was concerned that collection agencies and banks would suck and drain my family when I am dead and have no more blood left for them to suck. I would appreciate people confirming that it is payed off when I die.
