I am currently about to get my undergrad and i know for a fact that i want to end being a consultant. I am toying with two options. Option one is an industrial engineering degree with a minor in business admin. and computer science. Option 2 is a dual major in manegment science(business informations systems track), and international business and also includes a minor in computer science. Just in case it helps, i speak english, spanish, and portuguese, and would like to do consulting throughout latin america and the usa. Any thoughts on which option would be better?

And yes, i do plan to get my mba afterwards, and work to get experience...but strictly looking at undergrads, which option would look best?

We are not a non-profit or a religious org. We are just a community of people who want to raise money to buy land. We realize that we need to be registered in some way to have a fundraiser but I'm not sure what kind of professional can help me out to make everything legal. Financial advisor? What do you think

I would like to know what are the best ways to advertise what you sell. I usually sell on ebay, but wanted to increase sales so I advertised in the newspaper and only got one sale from that which made me lose a lot of money. Are there any free places that are good?

my daughter works in 2 residential homes, she has been struggling as she is suffering bi polar disorder, she works 2 sleepover shifts in one home, wich is just to bump her income up.the other day she did her sleepover and called in sick to her other job the following morning, which is council run,and they paid her sick pay.she had a meeting today from her main job to say that if they find out that she worked a nightshift and then called in sick she could face instant dismissal, and it would get taken further as she had commited fraud.can they do that.i know she was ill on the day,and she hadnt called in sick from the council job to work at the other home.
she told them she hadnt worked the night previouse as she panicked, she told me she didnt know she had done anything wrong .it doesnt say in her contract that she isnt allowed to work elsewhere.where would she stand, she would rather give the sleep ins up rather than lose her main job

I work with a doctor that is always late, on the phone with personal calls, buying tickets to sporting events, wandering out of office to make calls between patients. I mean he can get 2-3 hours late with his appointments. I figure I'm being paid, I'll wait all day I don't care. The patients will wait on him for hours and we keep them comfortable and happy, though we feel sorry for them. my other co workers are always rounding him up, enabling him, coddling him and making excuses to the patients for him. literally, taking him by the arm and leading him back to the room, good naturedly. I wish they would let him be, let him suffer his own consequences. DON"T GET ME WRONG: My first allegiance is for the patient. But things will never change if we are always covering for him. I have said before, what if we just let him do his thing, he's an adult, but my co workers say no.

Excuse me, Island Queen...And, No! I don't think the whole world, as you so kindly put it, will be coming over to my house to steal my design. I was simply asking a question in regards to a project that I had created. I think I did a pretty good job, if I don't say so myself. Next time, don't answer my questions because you are RUDE.

My husband makes $60,000 a year, and I make $38,000 (full-time job) plus $7000 (part-time job). We wonder:

1. Should we file joint or separate income tax? Which one saves more money and how to calculate it? Also, do we have to decide now or can we wait until we file the tax return in April?

2. We both have medical benefit from our jobs. Is it more economical to get medical from one person than get medical from his/her own company? Or it doesn't make any differences?

Thank you.

I'm looking into buying a house/condo/multifamily and renting out extra bedrooms/units. This area, Southeastern CT, is expensive. One condo (a typical example of something I'm looking for) I'm looking at is $150k and is 1275 sq feet with 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. It has condo fees of $325 and annual property taxes of $1500. It was built in 1973 and the complex includes tennis courts and a pool. I'm still early in the process, I'm just going by online listings at the moment for ideas. This unit is very cheap for the area (probably not updated) and would allow for me to have a 5-10 minute commute to work.

I'm a recent grad making a little over 40k (base salary of 38k + bonuses). My credit scores are 808, 765, and 705.

I know I should probably go see a mortgage broker. How do you choose one? Or should I even bother? All the online mortgage calculators tell me I can afford to choose between owning a trailer or a shitty condo. Friends tell me otherwise. What could I get approved for?
