Check for local classifieds online that are free. Coupons and direct mail targeting certain dempgraphics are great too. Referrals are above all the BEST way to advertise so let your customers know how much you appriciate them spreading the word. You could even offer referral incentives to your customers such as 10% off their next purchase for a referral sale. Oh and you may want to read this book I think it is called: 50 low cost ways to acquire new customers. It is yellow and blue on the cover.

You can post eBay listings on froogle for free. the same applies to many other comparison shopping sites. also for eBay items look in the "want it now" section for people looking for te items you're selling, then respond to the posting with your listing and that person will look at you're stuff. Also you could create an actual web store If you haven't already. For this I'd recommend Virtuemart (it's free). You could also pay for sponsored searches from google, if you were to use google check out you can process up to $10 dollars in payment commission free for every dollar you spend on advertising. Let me know If you need any more help.

Depends on what you are selling but since you are selling online I recommend a website optimized for search engines. If you are selling stuff that would be popular in your local community then you need to get out and network and spread the word about your online store.

Word of mouth. If you do a good work or have a good product and present it honestly. Word will get around. and your business will increase. After all it is your reputation that is at stake.

make flyers and deliver them to areas not so close to your business. Word of mouth is always good . What type of business do you have?
