I found a wallet in the parking lot at a mall, full of id's and over $400. I turned it in at the customer service desk, and waited around to see if the guy showed up/make sure the c.s. clerk didn't take it. When the guy came to clame his wallet, he told me I was an idiot for leaving the cash, he would have taken it, and left the wallet on the ground. But I still feel good about what I did.

Now if I found cash w/ no id, that's another story.

Yes, I would return it. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't, and I would feel sooooo guilty when spending the money.

On the other hand, if the owner offered me a cash reward for returning the wallet, I wouldn't turn it down!

Yes, what would you want someone to do if it were yours. Perhaps that is the only money in the world that this person has. And perhaps this person has children and has to pay the mortgage. Besides, it is the right thing to do even if they don't. Then there is ALWAYS karma. What goes around, does come around. Are you willing to take that chance? Are you sure the price you'll pay will be worth it?Besides, it will make you feel good. It did me....

Yes, There is no question about what you should do. Return the walet as you found it. Most people are happy enough to give you a reward with out you even asking for it. I know I would have been if mine had been returned.

No, And they would probably not expect it to be returned with the money. Incase like that, they are expecting to a%$ out with the money. But the ID and all other personal information, is more valuable to them.

This happened to me once.
Found a wallet on the aircraft after everyone got off.
This man had all of this money in foreign currencies, and us.
I turned it in to the agent.
I should have put my name in it cause I don't know if he ever got it.
This was around Christmas, and he was traveling south of Tokyo,Japan.
Over $1000.00 in it.(cash)

Yeah. I'm a firm believer in karma, so I have to return it with the money in it. Now if I find money and there is no way to find who it belongs to, that's a different story!

Um, ok are you intense? that occurs to me all the time. and on occasion i will step too close to a streetlight and it will initiate blinking on and rancid. I step away, and it stops. My buddies have observed this, and function commented usually that this does not take place to them whilst they are walking outdoors. It haappens plenty, that a number of my buddies are somewhat freaked out.
