There are times you can find items & sell them on eBay for a profit. You can find them on another site or you could find it in a local store. This is basic common sense. EBay is not some organic thing. It's made up of many people with different opportunities and certainly different pricing for the same item. It's representative of the "free market". That market is in and out of EBay.
There are many items on eBay that you can buy somewhere else for less (or more). It's called a "free market".
Think about what you're asking. You can be profitable with many things on eBay. It's mostly how you present your item and yourself (plus the perception of the buyer).

You would need to find a wholesaler, this is the only way to sell cheaper.
Figure out what you are looking to sell and then look for a wholesaler (possibly in China).
I found some good ebooks on selling stuff on the Internet at http://www.guilmetinc.com/thenuke
Hope that helps

You need to buy in bulk. Maybe garage sales or pawn shops you might find some deals. Also if stores are going out of business sales or closeout sales you might make a profit that way.

There are thousands of them, the trick is finding them. If it were easy the competition would be so fierce the price would go up.
