I started working for my present employer 16 months ago. At the time I was a little desperate to go to work and was not as sharp as I should have been at the bargining table. My first interviewer quoted a salary of $800.00 for a 40 hour week (+ 2 weakends on call per year) with sizable quarterly bonases. However when I went for the final interview with the owner of the company he stated he would start me out at $700.00 for a 40 hour week (+ 2 weakends on call per year) with sizable quarterly with bonases. After speaking to my direct supervisor, I was informed that after 90 days I would receive the boost. After 180 days I received a $50.00 increase. But the bonases are miniscule to say the least. Now they want me to take 4 to 5 on call weakends. Do I have any lgal standings?

i am a recent graduate with 1st class degree and want to follow career in auditing. I want to know what are the key differences between the two qualifications and the things that you can do with ACA that you cannot with ACCA (such as signing an audit report?) What limits you have with regards to how you can progress in your career and the areas that you can cover in finance/accounting field (i.e. having your own accounting firm, being in managerial position etc). I have searched the net but there is too much information and most of it does not help me with my decision. If you have knowledge/experience of the two qualifications or are qualified or whatever, i'd really appreciate your comments/advice/opinions/help. Thanks in advance.

Do you find it is worth it to pay such high commissions as opposed to using an online broker such as Ameritrade?

where a advertising rep comes to your business and home.....and helps to promote your business.....and respresents all the sign manufacturers on the net, Vistaprint.com, and all the customized products companies. I would hire a knowledgable advertsing rep for each area.....and just collect 10% royalties for each territory. I would do this across Canada and the USA. Would this work???? What improvements could be made to make this work????

I am in the process of launching an www.apartments-finder.com website to enable any apartment owner to advertise free. This site is unique in the sense that it uses navigation through Maps.

When I started, I was under the impression that apartments are owned by individuals ( and companies) like in UK. Now someone tells me that apartments are mostly constructed, owned and managed by companies and rarely individuals own it.

Is it true?.
