Most people don't have short and long term objectives for their lives.
There is not enough room to list mine.
But I can give you categories:
Business
Real estate investment
Personal life
Church life
Hobbies
I make day to day lists
We have week to week
month to month
year to year
I even have decade to decade.
I have been on schedule making numerous changes when the financial aspect gets greater than expected. woo hoo.
I am an organizer and planner. That is what it takes in this world.

If one analyses deeply this question, the short and Long term objective of just about everybody in the world is Happiness! As simple as that. It is in the process of finding this happiness somewhere and somehow that we pusue many things.. climbing everest to deepsea diving to... .. just about anything that we do.
If what we pursue does not give happiness we drop these objectives and switch.
