Remember like in '03 or '04 they said there was a contest to be on a game show or something to win $1,000,000,000. What happened to that? Did they forget?

Wouldn't that be an excellent business for the Major of New York?
They could demolish the old crappy buildings and sell all that land at a great price and start constructing new modern skyscrappers that would be pretty close from the best areas of Manhattan and with that money give the people that live today in Harlem an excellent house in other place?

I've been suffering from ADHD all my life and am now taking medications for my ADHD behaviors. I am currently taking Adderall XR 15mg.

My new job requires a random drug test every month or so and I am a bit worried that my drug test will come out positive for drug use. I am taking these drugs legally and can provide my boss with a doctor’s note saying that I have ADHD.

Be that as it may, do you think after providing my boss with all the information proving my condition and reason for taking the drug, does it still provide my boss grounds for firing me?

I am 20 yrs old I bought a duplex 4 months ago for 147,600 its appraised at 148,000 so I got it at top dollar. I got financing on 80/20 80%@7.5 adjustable rate (will go up in 2 years guaranteed) and 20%@10.75 fixed rate. I will be paying interest for the first 2 months. I am losing $200 on this monthly w/ tenants living there. It's suppose to be my primary residence. Refi penalty for the 80 loan is $3600 and no penalty for 20%. So my question is I got a loan on stated income, I figured I am losing $200/month*24=4800 in 2 years interest only from my own pocket. If I refi now $3600 penalty and maybe $3000 closing cost (estimation) so that's $6600 loss which I can live with 6600-4800=1800 difference I can live with that. But if I refi 30 yr fixed rate I have very low income i am a college student can I get possibly better rates to lower my down payment, I want to refi 0% down fixed 30yr rate is that possible? I want some advice plz I don't want to go bankrupt in 2 yrs when rates go up

I found out late friday afternoon that my Father has six blockages in his heart and one of which is 99% blocked. He is going to have open heart surgery tomorrow morning that will include up to 6 bypasses( 09/25/2006). I come to my supervisor trembling and in tears after hearing the news and advise her that I will need Monday and Tuesday off but the leave calender is full. I am told by a shaking of the head that no exception will be made and if I call in to attend his surgery that the days will be held against my dependability which will put me on warning and if another day is missed unapproved I may be terminated. I am shown no compassion and I am made to get back on the phone to service policyholders ( Isuranance Agent, I work in a call center) I can barely get through the call and that same supervisor decided to monitor me on the call and critize me for not doing my closing correctly. I am told I must finiah my shift which had an hour left in it because of calls on hold.

If it comes to choice, which one you will prefer? and the reason.

Are the execs of the big three US makers so stupid or greedy (or both) that they did not see that the world was moving away from big, gas-guzzling vehicles? It seems the Japanese auto makers saw it coming - what is wrong with Ford, Chevy, and Chrysler?

I recently pitched a script to a manager/producer. He was not very interested in what I brought him but he did give me an assignment to write a feature length comedy script. I have since done so and we are in the final stages of polishing it up. I haven't received any payment and in fact have not even discussed it with him at length. He says that I'll get paid when it sells. Now he wants me to start work on another feature length comedy script and I need to know if I should be getting paid to do this work. He has a lot of contacts and is well positioned to sell this thing. Should I be getting paid to write at this point or should I keep soldiering on, poor and unpaid in the hopes that one of these scripts will sell? Also, if I should be getting paid, what should I be asking for? Thanks for all your help
