I'm 17, I never got a job before. I absolutely need a job (anything), NOW! I send my resume to several places but they never call back...
It seems so hard to be hired, please help me.

What does your resume even look like?

But anyway, with no experience you have a miniscule chance of getting a job at a place that requires resumes. You have to start from the bottom up. Try looking at supermarkets or clothing stores.

Hey,
I went through it once and like majority of us do.Listen get a newspaper, get your resume done by someone who know's what a employer see's when he picks a random resume,70% of the job something you wont know are got on someone referring you to an employer but that doesnot mean you cant find a job on your own but letting you know that there might be someone around you who would be working and will help you know if there is an opening at there place even when there is no advertisement done on the newspaper or he might help you get a place where he is working.I had a lot of calls returned form the places i did send my resume to when i thought no one calls back and wants me at the time when i was on my first job,i asked them why is it you all call when i found a job so they told me about the recuriting policies they had and there are several dates also written on the newspaper for the number of days you can submit your resume only after that they start searching and there systems, people tell the employer who is the best for the job for now and hold our cv's for later if that happens a lot more, you just need to keep your hope's up and keep on searching for the job on the newspaper or the net whatever suits you.Best of luck

First, what do you enjoy doing? Your doing great by sending out resume's.... Its annoying and frustrating when companies dont call back....but how about calling them?! They will see your initiative and keeness, which are 2 qualities employers look for in a potential employee.
Utilize the online job websites, read up on interview techniques, let family and friends know you are looking for work so they can tell others who may be looking for someone to hire.

Best of luck, i have been there before too...but it will happen...just keep on it : )

You need to get the phone numbers of the places you put your resume's . Call every three days to keep in touch and let them know you are interested in working with the company. By the way, what are you wanting to work at?

Keep re-sending in the resumes. Have someone edit the resume to make sure it's done properly and to its best capabilities. You want to let people know that even though you are only 17, you are quite willing to learn and you enjoy learning new jobs.

:)
Good luck!

The way most people look for a job is all wrong. They contact people they've never met and who know nothing about them.

Your best bet is to tell all your friends and family that you're looking for a job and tell them the kind of work you want. Ask if they know anyone who's looking to hire. Also ask if they know anyone who is already doing the kind of work that you'd like to do.

People first like to hire people they already know and failing that...they will try to hire people who are known by people they trust.

Try a movie rental place or a resturant busting tables or being a waiter or try the fast food business.

Good luck.
