Before taking the pee test inform the handler of you meds..bring them with you...Nobody can fire you for prescription drugs....they don't have to know what they are for...it is none of their business.
Just bring your scripts in to show them is good enough. Keep your mouth shut about your medical health...it's priviate so keep it that way.

Most likely, you will need to provide a doctor's note stating that you are medically and legally prescribed a prescription drug and the name of the drug for your employer's human resources department files. The next time you have a test, tell the person giving the test straight up that you take a medication that could cause a positive result. They will tell you what you need to know.
Other than just general info, you do not have to disclose why you are on a certain drug, that is confidential.
There are certain jobs that don't allow their employees to take certain meds, but usually those jobs are not your every day, run of the mill occupations that most people have.
Your best bet is to be up front about your meds to the drug tester and you will have nothing to worry about.

It sounds strange that a medical office would lie about her taking or not taking a drug test. Best case scenario is that maybe they misplaced her sample and she can plead to resubmit a sample. On the other hand, I have some experience with a family member who had a drug problem. People who use drugs can be very good at creating scenarios that seem very believable. Your daughter has accomplished some very admirable feats, however, from my experience you really should take your daughter to a facility that give drug tests (ie. industrial physical therapy, occupational medical facilities) and have her tested. In my area they will do a drug screen for around $60. If she is clean she will be more than willing to do this with you and share the results. If she has been using she will make excuses and attempt to find a way to just tell you the results rather than showing them to you. I'm sure you know that she is not using. I urge you to be suspicious. It may save her life.

Provide your boss with the doctor's note spelling out what legal drugs you are taking and the purpose of the drugs. When you do the drug test provide to the testing company the same doctor note. Assuming you are preforming your job in an acceptable manner and these drugs do not affect your ability to do the Job you should be fine..

i think you will be fine...the test they are taking is for street drugs....i think you should get a letter from your doctor along with a copy of your prescription and give it to your boss so they can put it in your file for safe keeping, and to protect your position in this job..

Inform your employer of the medications you're taking. Your test should not test positive for any illegal narcotics unless you're medication's chemical composition includes narcotics.
