Do you think this could indicate a form of corruption? Three different people have pulled up to me in the yard and asked "what are you selling it for? We called the number but no one has called us back." Has anyone ever released a real estate at the end of a contract of trying to sell the house? Is there anything legal about or do you simply not re-up and sign another 3 month contract?

If the sellers say that the house is only like a few thousand dollars, does that mean that the house is really that price? Does anyone know anything about purchasing houses that have been foreclosed upon, and about purchasing homes in general?

What's the best way to pull yesterday's closing prices and/or current stock prices into Excel? I want to do this for *every* traded stock in S&P500 *every* morning, rather than for just a subset.

I made a purchase online a few days ago with my Mastercard Debit. However, the transaction got cancelled before it had a chance to charge my checking account. However, my "available balance" on my statement still shows the deduction from the purchase. Should I be concerned?

I did my original return, then my dad said I had to claim myself this year, so I did an ammended return. Also since I am claiming myself, he wouldnt be able to claim my school payments, and that I could claim them.

Ammended returns take 12 weeks to process. I waited the 12 and got a notice that they needed more information regarding my payments. The statement from the school did not have a copy for the IRS. So I made a copy, and sent the original. Waited 12 more, got a notice saying that "due to heavy workload, we have not yet completed our research to resolve your inquiry." It said they needed 45 more days. I waited the 45 and got another letter that said the same thing. Waited 45 more, and got another letter today saying they need 45 more days.

If there refunds were as fast and accurate as these letters coming I would have had my refund by now.

Is there anything I can do to speed this up? I don't know what "research" they are doing, I sent them everything they needed.

I have a BS in MKTand I currently work in the Sales & Marketing Dept at a publishing company working on the promos for various publications. I spend a big part of my day coming up with creatives for these pubs (posters, brochures, flyers, etc) in collaboration with our outside vendor (designer).

I've come to the realization a while ago that I would like to become a graphic designer and create brochures, cards, flyers, etc. I enjoy coming up with cool ideas. I love colors! ALthough I dont do the actual design, I pretty much come up with how we want a certain piece to look & feel, as well as coming up with the copy for the piece. I've saved all of the pieces that I work on from the very first page that I sketched out as to how I want something to look up into the final product.

How do I get started in this field? I've signed up for a DreamWeaver class next mo. and have been trying to fully engage myself in anything graphic. Should I get a BA or get a certificate?

I am legally residing in the US, but I don't have a resident alien status (ie dont have a green card). I tried to open a Vanguard mutual fund account, but they said they cannot do it online because of my citizenship status. I was told to fill out a paper form and mail it to Vanguard along with IRS for W-8. What is this form and why do I need to fill it?
Also, do you have any tips for foregners who want to open brockerage accounts in the US? I am under impression that it is almost impossible or requires a lot of complicated paperwork.
