Do you think this could indicate a form of corruption? Three different people have pulled up to me in the yard and asked "what are you selling it for? We called the number but no one has called us back." Has anyone ever released a real estate at the end of a contract of trying to sell the house? Is there anything legal about or do you simply not re-up and sign another 3 month contract?

If you signed a contract for a service (a realtor/estate agent) and they are not providing it (ie they are not answering the phone to propsective buyers in a reasonable timeframe), then I would say that they have already voided the contract themselves.

Call the realtor and tell them you are also going to sign up with another realtor (this is fine in the UK, but you should check legals if you live somewhere else). Maybe you could also try to suggest a reduction in their fee if the house is sold through them - they are providing a lesser service, after all.

If this is true, the realtor or agency is in breach of the contract agreement in which both of you signed. They are lible for not doing what you hired them to do. You may be compensated for time loss/ that your house has been unmarketable .......call your local bar association for a real estate attorney, they should supply you with free advice regarding this matter.

This is funny. The same thing happened to me today. I called a number last week and left a message about a house and received no reply. I would call the agent and let your concerns be known. If this happens again I would get rid of them.

You should try calling the number yourself. If you don't get an answer, call the Better Business Beauro (sp?).
