I would start here:

They would probably know the area best for what is needed and be able to help you start things up.

For $14.50 this month you can become a member as this is for people that are serious and who don’t want to be misled as we have tried many things and have found a company that has been around for 21 Years and pays you to advertise for them. My wife and I just started and are doing well. It is not an MLM company and no selling, no deliveries or stocking product. My wife’s aunt has been working with this Company (Melaleuca) for a little over 3 years and home schools 3 kids and makes $9,000 a month. It is a 500 Inc company and the CEO is on the U.S. Chamber of commerce board. I can arrange a web cast with my wife’s aunt for you and you can decide by yourself and WE WILL help you be successful. It is an honest Win Win.
If you want to see a web cast (presentation) from your home let me know and I will arrange it as that truly is the way to see all about Melaleuca. Have you heard of it. We have just gotten started with my wife's aunts help as it is a team effort and it is fun. Just a quick F.Y.I. 8 out of 10 people that see the web cast join the company and 95% of the people that join re-order product each and every month. Let me know when you are ready and we will set up the web cast.

I would say to think about 3 things, what you like to do, what you are good at and finally how these things can be incorporated to help the people around you.

Below is a link to Mad Packers. It was created by a college student and now helps students move in and out of dorms, check out the website. Her is an article I found on them:

By Olivia Barker, USA TODAY
A rite of college is grinding to a halt. When it comes to transporting their cargo, students and their parents are forgoing the family station wagon or U-Haul rental in favor of the professional moving truck.
There are even moving companies that cater just to the college crowd. New York-based MadPackers provides the boxes, bubble wrap and tape, then picks up the stuffed boxes and sends them to school or home. (Cost: $289-$549, depending on distance; for $99 extra, the movers will pack for you.)

The trend is yet another example of how campus life is increasingly aping the luxurious life, with tricked-out dorm rooms and health-conscious cafeterias.

At Florida Atlantic University, MadPackers delivered gear for 15 students, most of them freshmen, this semester.

"Students are bringing a lot more stuff," says Jill Eckardt, director of housing and residential life. Some are "emptying the entire contents of their room and bringing it here." And in the Florida summer heat, who wants to lug a TV up seven stories?

You like to help people, you are good at solicitation and you know others that will either donate their time for free just for the experienc eor you can out right hire them. Start a website that offers tips on a variety of things that would be of assistance to your fellow students. You can have a new article every week on each of the following subjects:

A "Guess who's coming to dinner" business may work well for you if you have the time. Every knows that pizza can be delivered, maybe even chinese, but if you start a service that can get you the burrito your craving or the whopper you may be golden. The set up is that you can charge either a flat fee or a fee for each rest. you go to. So if a group of 15 students are pulling an all nighter and want some grub and there are 8 different places they want food from you can charge a 3.00 surcharge for each place.

How to get more out of your study time
Best places in town for a memorable but cost effective date
Laundry tips
Dating advice (people can write in with questions)

Now here is where the money comes in, go to all local businesses, both the ones that already advertise to the university and the ones that don't. offer them ad sapce on your site. You can also have a link for coupons and such.

example: You like to clean, you are good at organization and you can start a dorm/off site housing cleanigng business. (You can even hire other students to do the actual manual work while you concentrate on getting new business and finances)

example: you like to shop, you are good at choosing the "right" gifts for people and how that could be incorporated into a service business would be to go out and purchase birthday and christmas gifts for peoples families before the go home for break.

And if you'd like to

Identify a community that you are involved with or that interests you. List out their dietary habits and figure out all that is not available locally. Then if you are net savvy, source reliable vendors who could be interested into venturing new markets. Be their agent or handle their logistics and sell on their behalf. You can start with no initial capital.
