The job in question is the same thing I do now, only with a higher pay. My current employer never asked for my diploma. This will be the first time that I have ever had an interview where I have been asked to bring one. Is there something I can say or do to get around this?

From what date are the 7 years calculated? Once the time has passed will they automatically be taken off or will i have to something to make sure they will come off. What if they are charged off accounts that were never paid, do those come off too?

My aunt passed away last month. She and her husband had no children. When the will was received, my father, her only live next of kin was not mentioned in the will, or his family. My aunt was married to this fellow for about 55 years before he passed last September. The will is dated October 1973. From my understanding he controlled the entire marriage, and everything from his will and hers was left to his side of the family. Can this will be contested. Do I have any legal ground. Note: this will is from Canada.

I'm looking for a bank with free checking, and more importantly the ability to link a line of credit account or credit card where I am not charged a dime in "transfer" or "cash advance" fees if i overdraft and have to draw on the line or card. I am currently with US Bank who has such a feature, but they dont have any branches in NYC, where Im planning to move. Anyone know of such a bank?

I am heavely in debt , credit card , school loans, house payments, car loans , insurance , hospital bills. I need someplace to help me out. I need to find a credit couselor who will help but not take me to the cleaners because I dont have much. I dont want to declare bankrupsey . I just want freedom from the burden I am in.

I'm giving serious consideration to saying "no more" to contracts and credit cards. No matter what you do, how long you've had an account, or how well you've paid...if you have even one problem you get screwed. Interest rates are ridiculous, and the "binding arbitation" agreement in so many contracts is skewered heavily in favor of the business.

Of course, I have a mortgage and a car so I can't do away with those contracts. But I'm thinking of closing out our few credit cards and finishing out what contracts we have and not purchase things on credit or take out other loans or whatever.

Does anyone else go on a "Cash only" basis? How does it work for you? Is it less stressful?

I'm 20 years old and running a web design company. I save most of my money as I'm not a materialistic person. Is my career in good hands for many years to come? I can design anything in web 1.0/2.0 quality as I've been doing this since I was 13. I just started this year to full time.

Presumably you can't just buy shares in a company the day before dividends are due to be paid...

Don't you think it would be right for kids to learn about interest rates, credit and budget before they are let loose in the world ?
Finances are such an important part of our lives, and then you can still meet people that have no idea, whatsoever, about making a budget and following it and will indebted for the rest of their lives. Gosh, some people don't have a clue what the interest rate on their beloved credit card is.....scary.........

I sold some tee-shirts on ebay and the buyer paid me through PayPal. It has been over a month ago & PayPal had a $25.00 balance on my account. So I spent it on ebay and now over a month later they are trying to say the buyer used a unauthorized credit card even though they authorized it and now I have a hold on my account. I can't even use it! They should be responsible, they are saying I might owe it back. I'm so pissed. Has this ever happened to you?
