I'm planning to enter a fitness contest and the winner receives a total of $50,000 in prizes which includes $40,000 cash, fitness equipment, and health supplements. Do the taxes have to be paid by the winner upfront, are they taken out of the prize money, or are the taxes paid at the end of the year? I may not be able to afford to even win the contest. LOL Too funny.

Stick with me: I'm 18 years old-obviously a freshman in college-and I've only had one job...it lasted two months. I'm a person who gets easily stressed out over nothing, and I need at least one day a week to sleep in or just relax. I understand that soon I will never have days off, but for now, I need to go slow with this. Well, I got an interview at an Office Depot and I went to it yesterday. When I told them that I may have to decrease my weekday hours because I didn't realize how much homework I was going to get in school, the manager laughed and said, "Well then say goodbye to your social life on the weekends!" I immediately felt horrible, went home and talked to my mom about it, and she told me to call and turn down the job. My mom knows that I simply can't handle a job right now and says I will just have to get summer jobs. I feel horrible about the kind of person I am and that it was stupid to turn down a job like that. Was that a dumb choice?

In the last 40 years, we have seen the birth of the internet, the mobile phone, the personal computer. Anybody who was savy enough to investment earlier enough in a reputable company has made an absolute killing on the stock market. Stories about the first Dell or Microsoft investors is the stuff of dreams and who wouldn't want to emulate their success: so the question is, what is the bext big thing?

I have hopes in internet broadcasting.

After filling in my timesheet I found I had done 20 hours overtime this past month. I was told by a collegue that I can only carry forward 11 hours and I would lose the rest. Surely this isnt right regardless of possible company policies. If the hours were agreed with my line manager then they shouldnt be allowed to take the hours off me. Does anyone know the correct legal standing over this.

Most firms concentrate on profit nowadays and go on a blind eye on factors such as public safety, nation's welfare, just for the sake of profit! But my view on this is that it wud be immoral for companies not to try to make a profit, but important facts shud not be overlooked
