I've been seeing ads in my local new paper about "20 vending machine / route and candy for only $ 9,999" Has anyone had any experience with this? Is it profitable, or a money looser? Any advise ? Anyone have experience in these trpe of ventures ? Thanks !

Dan,

Do the math. At that rate, it's almost $500 per machine. Most candy is vended at a quarter. So, you would have to sell 2000 portions to pay for the machine, and that doesn't count the inventory you have to put in them or the time.

If you had really great locations, perhaps you could justify it, but... that also takes a lot of work, and most of them are taken.

Good Luck

NOT!

It is just another scam. I spend a whole day every week refilling these machines to make only 50 bucks! At this rate it will take 200 weeks (4 yrs) to recover the investment. Another 4 yrs to pay off the interest.

I have heard that it only pays well if you have a large number of vender machines. I've heard that one or two will not bring in enough money to make it worth it. I've also heard that finding places willing to have the machines can be a pain.

with 10 machines in a good area you can make about 900.00 dollars a day with about 1000 dollars in candy for all ten machines thats 800 dollars profit for 2 days you fill up once a week most of the time does it sound good

Passive income (inome you don't have to be actively involved in to earn) creates wealth. Look at outlays of cash versus projected cash flows. If the latter is sufficient and the result is positive then go for it.

you'll make money but you will also contribute to poor eating habits of others. But i know that doesn't weigh on your conscience as long as you get paid.
