If someone pulls a full factual report, they can see the things that have dropped off due to age.
Full factual report pulling is very rare, and pretty much non-existant for the average loan or credit card application.

Nothing is hidden
Credit reporting agencies are strictly controlled as to what information they are allowed to give out, and to whom to give it to.
Any abuse results in a $1000 civil fine, and whatever penalties the FTC wishes to impose, up to and including shutting them down.
It's not worth the risk of them keeping separate sets of records.

Not as much as you think and you get that credit report if you apply for a mortgage. I have one from a couple weeks ago I almost had a heart attack thank god most of it was incorrect and fixable.
