I'm a college student and I know absolutely zip about banking, finances and investing. I'm especially bad with terms such as CD's and mutual funds...it all sounds so foreign. I have researched online but it dosen't seem to get through to me.

Is there a way to make it sound simple?

you never got the statement? Or do you feel that you should know about when you get it and when it is normally due and be responsible for paying it no matter what? A simple A or B answer will do fine. Unless you really want to add your 2 cents.

I am trying to apply for one position (Media Analyst or Media Negotiator) in an advertising company. My experience is for both but not in an advertising agency. Which one has a better career path for moving up in the advertising industry - e.g. meet more contacts, learn more advertising tips/tricks - I plan on ultimately doing creative stuff in advertising in the long run.

In other words the sales show us as profitable but the inventory purchases are more than the sales and profits. This is because inventory purchases go to costs of goods. So, what should I make of this? Obviously I'm concerned.

you say to them that you see they are a good customer so you can lower their APR if they switch over to this other card ( and no they dont pay their balance off in full every month ) So it would save them money. There card number would stay the same and they could still use the one they had in their hand until they got the new one in the mail. All the other features are EXACTLY the same and still only 50% of the people I tell this too accept this! Anyone know why? Is it just the fact that someone doesnt want to be "sold". I feel like I am talking to a brick wall sometimes because people shut me out when I know I can help them. weird huh?

they dont seem to care?? Basically I work for a major credit card company and we offer a service that helps people protect against idenity theft and sends them their updated credit report every single month when it comes out. As well as about 7 other features that come with it. THEY CALL ME to check their balance or whatever then I tell them about it and only about 20% of the people say yes. That meas 80% of the people think that $9.95 a month is too much to pay for a service like that? We even let you try it FREE for 30 days. If you have ever been a victim then you it is well worth it. I guess my question is it is I feel I could say that this program comes with a million dollars and people would STILL say no because they dont want to be "sold" anything. Why is this still true even if it is something they should get?

I've found the perfect property in central Florida. It's right next door to my best friend. It's an acre of land with an older single-wide mobile home on it. It's the only home I can afford without being an absolute shack on no property. I love this because I'd be spending my money mostly investing in the property, and I could build my dream home on it later.
The problem is, I have no down payment. I was told there are programs out there that help with that. I was approved by my bank for the mortgage, so I have good credit. However, every government program I could find will not help with the purchase of a mobile home; not SHIP, not First Time Homebuyers, not Fannie Mae, not HOME, etc.
Does anyone have any ideas???

I would like to research a divorce decree and some financial records before I consider getting married again. I would like to be private about it and see if my significant others x has claim to his retirement etc. I also would like to know the exact amount of his debt before I get in over my head. I was screwed over once and will not do that again. Call me paranoid, but better safe than sorry. Is it possible to see a copy of his divorce and financial records without telling him?
