you never got the statement? Or do you feel that you should know about when you get it and when it is normally due and be responsible for paying it no matter what? A simple A or B answer will do fine. Unless you really want to add your 2 cents.

If it is a bill that I have been receiving on the same day for an extended period of time, then I would feel responsible. But if it is a new bill, then I would fight the late fee

If it's a regular bill, such as phone, cable, credit card, rent, etc. then you're responsible for knowing when the payment is due and making appropriate arrangements, such as calling and asking how much you owe.

The best way to avoid the issue is to sign up for an auto-pay service that will automatically charge your credit card or bill your bank account.

Unfortunately, the logic seems to be, you know when it is due and are responsible to make the payment, statement or no statement.

I choose B...in the case of regularly scheduled (monthly) bills.

Things that occur once or twice a year I might have a beef with.

That's my two cents.
