I AM WORKING TWO JOBS AND LIVING WITH MY PARENTS. THIS WILL BE MY FIRST TIME TRYING TO BRANCH OFF AND DO MY OWN THING WITH FINANCES. SO CAN SOMEONE TRY AND EXPLAIN THE PROCESS OF TAXES AND THEIR PURPOSE. AND CAN I FILE FOR THEM, EVEN THOUGH I LIVE WITH MY PARENTS AND I THINK THAT THEY FILE ME ON THEIR TAXES.

Yes you have to file. www.1040.org You may be using a 1040 EZ form. Simple to fill out so don't worry to much about it.

If you are working two jobs, your earnings are probably high enough that you not only can but must file taxes, whether you live with your parents or not. Up to now they might have been claiming you as a dependent. Depending on your age, student status, and earnings, they might not be able to claim you any more.

I was able to claim my son for tax purposes and he still filed his own tax return. The best thing you can do is when your parents go to their CPA or Tax Preparer have them verify your status.

if u have the money go to H and R block. taxes there is income tax and sales tax. sales tax is the one u see on the reciepts. in come tax is the one u have to pay to the governmenr, that is calculated by your yearly income. it differs on like if u have kids or u are sponsoring someone from another country. you have to file them. you can deduct tax if u made like a 200 donation to cancer foundation, that deduccts from your tax. you can also get tax refund, thats when the government gives u money they owe you.

income taxes? Ask them if they claim you, because if they do, you can't claim yourself.
