A collector may pay up to $12 or $13 if it is in uncirculated condition.

They are starting to become worth a little more than face value. The market for currency has been appreciating fast, so I would hold onto it unless you really need to spend it. A dealer or collector might offer you $6 or $7 for it.

It is still a non-redeemable promisary note and the only backing it has is a loan.
