I am a recently divorced mother looking for a place to live in Orange County, California. Catch, I have a bankruptcy on my record. I currently pay rent and have on time for 6 months plus. I have references and a good paying job. I have till this weekend to be out of my current "slum" home. It's bad and to top it off, my 4 year old is Autistic & Hearing impaired. Makes searching a bit harder when we live in San Diego. That's about 100 miles south of Orange County. WE NEED HELP and our time is running out. Help us. We need a 3 bedroom for max $2500. We can pay a deposit and 6 months rent up front. I have enough saved to make the move and pay our rent.

Thank you,
Melissa Smith

I understand that most Insurance companies like Bankers give only commissions. I am not sure about this one. Also, If someone can let me know how New York Life and Bankers are in comparison with each other as employers cause I have an offer from Bankers also.

I ordered pizza and I paid by credit card. I have a receipt with a bunch of X's except the last four digits. I was about to throw out the receipt when my mom said she heard crooks can get your card info just by looking at a receipt with the last four digits. I know all about card swipers and all that other stuff, but can somebody grab a random receipt and decipher a credit card number just with a name and four digits?

Imagine that a permanent videotape record is made of every single move you make in your work area during the course of a day. Not a second elapses when the camera is not filming. In addition to your work activities, every yawn, every scratch, every facial expression is recorded. You cannot turn your back to the camera, because there are multiple cameras recording from each direction. if this happened to you, would you feel that management had gone too far? that your privacy was being invaded?

(Upi.com, Aug 14, 2006) China, apparently undaunted by violence in oil-rich Nigeria, increased investment in the West African nation by $3 billion over the past three years, Chinese officials said this week.

While many foreign investment firms have been forced to scale back operations amid kidnappings and militant attacks on oil installations -- violence that has slashed production levels by 20 percent -- companies like China's state-run CNOOC invested $2.3 billion earlier this year in Nigerian offshore oil and gas fields.

Other major agreements included the 2004 deal in which China will explore two sites in the Niger Delta, where most of Nigeri's production takes place. The region is also the scene of many of the militant attacks in recent months.

During his farewell tour of the country, outgoing Chinese ambassador to Nigeria, Wang Yongqiu, said Tuesday that over the past three years, source:http://www.zoomchina.com.cn/index.php?/content/view/11142/81/

I signed up for a Circuit City Chase Mastercard to purchase a laptop about 6 months ago and go 0% interest for a year. I just paid it all off and now want to cancel my credit card. Do I just cut it up or do I have to call the company? Does it hurt my credit score if I just cancel the card now that I'm done with it? I have another one that I want to keep. I just liked the Circuit City one because I could put the laptop on it. Any advice? Thanks! PS I'm a 22 year old. If that matters.

(Economic Times, Aug 14, 2006) ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and China are close to finalising a landmark accord on nuclear energy cooperation, under which Islamabad will acquire six reactors of 300 megawatts each.

The accord, which shows Pakistan playing its "China card" to beat the India-US nuclear energy deal now undergoing legislative processes in the US, may be signed during the visit of Chinese President Hu Jintao to Pakistan this November, according to reports.

"Negotiations on nuclear energy cooperation between Pakistan and China are in final stages and the deal is most likely to be reached during the forthcoming visit of Chinese President Hu Jintao in November this year," said the official on Friday.
