I stole a candy bar when i was 19 years old, I am now 31 and have a property causualty Life and health License in Connecticut. My problem is that all diret carriers are very strict and want me to get series 6 and 63, however the SCC will not allow me to get a 6 or 63 due to the petty theft on my record, so companies find this out and wont hire me....The issue i have is that i am a great salesmen and would excel in commercial lines and never get the chance,,,,Anyone know of any independent agencies that are willing to give a guy a chance and take a risk that i can gaurantee will pay off.

I have a new mortgage company and I am looking for loan officers that would like to work out of their homes. I do not want to spend a lot of money for an ad but I would like to give LOs the opportunity to hear what kind of deal we have going on. There is no split, we just charge the LO a $500 fee and $395 processing fee and that's it (no hidden costs!) If anyone has any good suggestions I am open to just about anything, as long as it's not too expensive!!

Moved out June 24 (pennsylvania). Move out date was June30 (was doing my landlord a favor so she can re-do bathroom.)

Called her July 17 and she says she is not giving any of my security deposit ($1000) because the 60days prior to my moveout, the apt was "filthy" (I procrastinate laundry/dishes/vacuuming when work gets busy). When I moved out, I got the apt professionally cleaned - it was pristine.

Can she do this!?? She never even mentioned to me that she cannot show the apt because it was "filthy" until July 17!

Thanks!

I am being treated very unfairly. Out of the 20 or so clerks in my department I am the only one who is watched like a hawk. I get a nasty e-mail if I'm not doing enough, and today I got a nasty e-mail b/c I was doing too much. Everyone else stands around and talks, or sits on the phone all day, but nothing is said to them because they’re all friends. The girls here are nasty and cruel and they want me to quit. I don't want to give them the satisfaction of quitting, but I cannot stand it anymore. I do need the money, it's pretty good, and I have a daughter to think about. Is it worth it to stay and do everything and get treated like crap? My assistant supervisor is part of that group of friends and my supervisor could care less what anyone does…. I would love some good advice.

If you had a choice between getting a college degree to have a great career and excellent pay afterwards or having a job making just as much money maybe even more without a B.S, Masters, Ph.d and so forth, which would you choose?

Boss is not even remembering my name - MIS says our team performed to the best - remain as a neglected staff - wanted a transfer from the existing group - Repeatedly requested for transfer - No reply for the mails sent for knowing the facts for giving the poor performance report - No reply for the mails asking for what area of the work has to be improved - Received a reply stating that due to shortage of officers unable to give a transfer. Want to have a change within the organisation - Other groups are ready to take me as they are confident in my performance -

We have owned our home for 6 years and have put in over $150K into the house in improvements. There is a brand new 2nd story addition, new windows, new siding, new roof, new deck, new driveway, and a new kitchen. We have done all the things realtors tell you to do in order to sell and nothing has worked. Not even baking bread before potential buyers come over. We live in the suburbs of Chicago, in a good neighborhood, very close to a good grade school and on a very quiet street.

We have also lowered our price to a basically "break even" point. So its not like were trying to make a bunch of money.

So why won't this house sell?

Is it better to look for gold by water? Or should I look for big rocks to crack open? Should I drill for gold? Or should I pan for gold?

Swap for a home?

I have a brand new house that is in the Orlando market which is over saturated with investor's now flipping their home. I relocated to Jacksonville and was thinking of just trying to swap for a home in Jacksonville with someone that is relocating to Orlando.

What is the best way to reach people that would be willing to swap properties?

I'm considering moving about 4 hours away, and am a bit too busy to go and apply directly for jobs, there. I'm employed now, in retail, and would probably stay in that occupation.

I've applied on monster.com, put in a resume with a couple of companies for positions that I was definitely qualified for, but have heard nothing back--it's been a couple weeks. Is there an easier/most effective way of applying for jobs in areas that are in another state, than doing the monster.com thing? Any suggestions?

Can someone give me an idea of the job market in Fayetteville and the surrounding area? Any suggestions as far as retail jobs? I might be relocating to that area, and have applied to a couple places on Monster.com, but I don't think resumes on that site are reviewed all that often--at least not by some companies.

I work for a branch office of a major corporation. I was supposed to have received my raise this paycheck, but didn't. Instead, I find that my pay has remained the same, but the final amount of the paycheck has decreased, but found out that it was due to a discrepancy where I shouldn't be paying city taxes. (I live in a different county, and outside of the city limits.) I asked my boss about this, and she said because of "lack of profits", we won't see our raises until December.

Should I get a lump sum with that paycheck for back pay owed?? Is there a way that a peon like me in this company can find out the truth without getting into trouble? (My boss is known to lie to make herself look good!)
