Swap for a home?

I have a brand new house that is in the Orlando market which is over saturated with investor's now flipping their home. I relocated to Jacksonville and was thinking of just trying to swap for a home in Jacksonville with someone that is relocating to Orlando.

What is the best way to reach people that would be willing to swap properties?

Find a good realtor in both cities and put them to work on it. Both realtors will have abundant resources at their disposal in order to help you, and both will be motivated to do so since it means a paycheck for them if they are successful.

If you prefer to represent yourself in both cities (which is not recommended), you will have to be diligent and creative in getting out the word about your idea. Print and electronic advertising will be your main focus, and you will have to be persistent.

Finally, you may want to contact the human resources departments of major employers in both cities. People relocating to new areas often ask the HR department of their new employer for help in finding housing, and here it is word of mouth that often helps as much as any other form of advertising.

Good luck!

Why don't you just put a classified ad in the Jacksonville paper?
