I am looking for aggregate stats on formal employer/employee-type organizations, such as all businesses, hospitals, schools, etc. I have not been able to find it broken down that way where people working on farms, the self-employed, small family run businesses, etc., were excluded. My wife who is well qualified (PhD, Top of her graduate class) is trying to get a job at patent office. No one responds to the resume or phone call. I have been told by other federal employees that you need an insider to get you a fed job and most positions are already wired for someone. Is there any truth to this or are there agencies that provide employees to federal government that one has to go through.

Hello - I have about $22K in credit card debt at about 9% interest rate. I currently have a home that has already been refinanced. I would be able to manage fairly well if I didn't have the $22K. I looked at refinancing and didn't see the advantage there, so I'm thinking of cashing in my 401K. I have about $30K. What are the advantages/dis to doing this? Anything I should look out for ? Any suggestions that don't include cashing the 401K?

i ve been there for 3years worked my way up from sup to manager.when i took the manager job i was told by my gm that we would have inventory commin up soon do ur best if we fail it would not reflect upon u.now i have done a good job passing all the other inventorys.but this time we fail an i was in in this possion for 3month.and was ask to resign witch i did but i feel it wasnt right what sould i do??

I'm from Michigan where I am frequently given Canadian quarters, nickles, and dimes as change and often see these coins spent as if they were equal to U.S. coins. But, at the time of me posting this, the Canadian dollar is actualy worth about 0.89 USD, so it would seem that if I get change in a Canadian format I'm actually being ripped off a little.

It's so annoying!!! You buy something with a debit card and the money comes out of your checking account immediately, like before you even leave the store. But! When you return that item, it takes days and days to get the money back! It's SO unfair!!! Does anyone know why this happens or are you as annoyed as I am??
