Makeup - May 2007

I get that its not neccassary to be painted up like a doll, cause i dont see any reason to wear alot of it either BUT there is nothing wrong with wearing some , keep it looking light and natural but still nice. Its no wonder thats part of the reason i wont date, cause im sick of hearing them whinge about it. I wont have a man dictate what i choose to do or wear. Im me, if they dont like it too bad so sad.

Can someone please give me some tips on how to stop my mascara from smudging after a few hours or recommend a brand that is waterproof and doesnt smudge?

I'm currently using Maybelline XXL and Sky high curves but both smudges after awhile, and rather badly too.. izzit normal or izzit the mascara?

so i been tanning for like a few weeks and i dont see that big of a difference. i use the cheepest lotion((i didnt have that money when i bought it)) what am i doing wrong? should i get better lotion? any other tips for tanning faster?

I am turning 21 in a one week and my husband is taking me out for my birthday to have some fun! I wanted to try something new, so I was thinking about getting some fake eyelashes. Can I buy them just anywhere (drug store/walmart/ect.) or do I have to get them from somewhere special? How do they feel on....is it weird? And is it difficult to put them on?

My moms a real hard head! and she won't let me wear make-up or straighten my hear til i get older! and i can't sneak it( my sister found it out the hard way) she always catches me! What should i do? My skin is pretty sensitive, so when I treat a blemish, the skin often breaks and turns into a scab. I really want to cover it up, but applying concealer looks too obvious. Is there a way to cover up a small scab or make it less noticeable?

I have a typical asian complexion, tanned with yellowish tinge. My natural lip colour is a rosey-pink with a purple-ish tinge on bad days and i hate it.
Can anyone suggest some "nude" lipsticks with natural coloured tints that i may be able to try ? Recently i've tried some natural colours from Lancome Juicy Tube range and TheBalm stainiac 'homecoming queen'. Both of them a soft coral/orange/peachy colour. They look a little bright against my skin and just don't look very natural and not very flattering.

Help ?

i shave off my natural brows nd draw them on with eyeliner in a high arch,ive been doing it for about 2 years now.
but lately i juz cant be bothered,i'd like to be able to juz put on a shirt nd pants nd shoes and go out sum where without having to spend 15 mins in the bathroom making sure my brows are straight.
i want to grow them bak nd get them shaped proffesionally.
how long do u rekon itll take for them to go bak to normal?
is there anything i can do to make the process faster?

so far the stubble is in the right places and right direction.

when i put on any type coverup, concealer, foundation, powder, etc. my face looks really uneven and the acne scars on my face are really apparent... this also happens when i put on blush. are there any products that wont show the unevenness, or make it less apparent? thanx

i know, its weird- not using gold. but the dress i am wearing is a grecian style dress- and is down to the floor white silk. with silver/ austrian crystal sequins on the straps that flow down the back because the dress is also backless. my hairstyle is also grecian. if it helps any. i have blonde hair. deep brown eyes. and a fairly light skin complexion. if you have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. thankss so muchh!

im african american, i love hard candy's colors in pinks and greens but i and scared to wear them because i think i will look like a clown. im not real dark, just brown skinned with golden or yellow undertones. should i give up on these colors alltogether?

I heard they usually grow back within 6-8 weeks .. but here's my problem. I have a bad habit of picking out my eyelashes with my fingers - and now there's only about 10 eyelashes on one of my eyes. It looks horrible, and it's really hard to put my contacts in now! Will they grow back since I picked them out? Should I see a doctor?
