Makeup - April 2007

I AM A SENIOR CITIZEN, CANNOT FIND A MAKEUP THAT GIVES ME A NATURAL LOOK. MY SKIN IS DRY AND OF COURSE I HAVE SOME WRINKLES. SO FAR ANY MAKEUP THAT I USE JUST MAKES MY SKIN LOOK WORSE,AND IT SEEMS TO MAKE MY WRINKLES STAND OUT EVEN MORE. ANY THOUGHTS ON MAKEUP FOR SENIORS THAT IS NOT BLESSED WITH PRETTY SKIN? SEEMS LIKE THE MAKEUP JUST GIVES ME A GHOSTLY APPEARANCE. WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE SOME INPUT ON THIS SUBJECT. HELP PLEASE.

Im trying to cover up my eczema but when i put on my make up it dos not cover up the dark portions of my skin that have been damaged due to my skin condition. the foundation and powder that i bought are from loreal, (true match) and it macthes my skin tone but when i put it on the darker portion of my skin the eczema still peaks through, are there any more tip and tricks that i should be aware of.

Im currently using warm 7 foundation and concealer

I have a wheatish complexion and will be wearing a red saree and my lipstick color is a deep, dark red.
Any help with the color of eye shadow i should use.
I am attending a wedding in the morning and the wedding will be done by about 2pm. Do I have to wear eyeshadow or can I skip this step? Any suggestions??

My sister and I are really interested in buying some make up and also learning to apply it (a light foundation, eyeliner maybe false lashes etc) do you know where we can get a good consultation and maybe try some products then purchase the ones that look really good?

Im still a teenager but I think I should use an eye cream because lately the skin around my eyes are very dry and rough and I have dark circles under my eyes. For now I'm using vaseline around my eyes. What eye creams can I use that don't have retinol and aren't for fine lines, or is what I'm doing now fine?

I have always had bags under my eyes, I'm pretty sure they're hereditary. I understand I will never get them to go away, but I'm looking for tips to make them less noticable. I usually just use coverup to hide them, but any other ideas? What about that cold-spoon trick you see on tv, does that help?

Lately, it's been a bit humid, I have been stressed, and breaking out. It's been warm in my house but not so much that my pores would be noticeable. I've always had clear and dry skin. I'm only 19.

Yet I can see my pores from like 3 feet away in the mirror and I feel like I'm 40 or something.. What should I do?

I tried a lot of foundations but they never seem to match very good...I like the natural look but most mineral makeup (ie Bare Minerals etc.) don't have my shade and give me a silver tint!! :( I have a lot of red in my skin and combination skin type. PLEASE HELP!

hey girls, i dont understand this at all.

Why do we woman where makeup. we are beautiful naturally, well at least i think i am. sometimes i do have a bump here or there, but nothing serious to cover up.

A lot of guys i know cant stand girls with makeup and in my opinion i think its fake, especially because you are making your face colorful, which is stupid, just typing it, then some girls where fake nails, fake hair and anything else that isnt theres.

Why is this?

i just got an e-mail saying that there are quantities of lead in a lot of brands of lipstick ,that u can verify this by puting some on your hand and rubbing it with a gold ring ,if it turns black it means it contains lead.of course we get lots of scare.u silly mails like this,im hoping that it is a sick joke realy.....

i have pale skin w/ freckles, i do tan easily though. i have blueish-green eyes and red hair that has shades of orange, brown and blonde as well. i'm looking for a lipstick that will look pretty on me. i normally stick to glosses bc i can never find a good shade of lipstick. any pros know?

I have tried everything out there from maybelline, bare minerals, mary kay, cover girl, loreal, and ulta brand make up and they either make my skin break out, make my skin more oily, or do not cover well at all. I always go back to revlon colorstay because it covers the best but at times makes my skin oily.
I don't want anything extremely expensive, please let me know your suggestions, thanks!
