Hair - December 2007

My hair is pretty long (to the middle of my back) and its getting really hard to work with. Its very heavy and takes a long time to dry or straighten. I straighten it a lot, because when its natural its HUGE and unmanagable. Its got natural wave, so i really dont need any more body. I have TONS of hair. Its getting really annoying, and i would like to lighten it up and maybe thin it out a little bit. My hair is very fine, its just that i have to much of it that it goes all over the place. Should i go short with it? Im afraid with that i'll lose my curl. WHAT SHOULD I DO!? :)

my hair has started drying out at the ends and needs a cut, but i want to grow it long, how does it grow faster if you trim it. hair is dead and it wouldn't send messages to the roots saying "its been cut, quick replace it" and i doubt its got to do with the weight pulling on the roots...... and how come arm hairs and eyelashes only have a limited length they grow to... i waxed my arms once and they grew back, but they're the same length now as before. why did they stop growing. hmmmmm i wander if anyone REALLY knows the answer......!?!?!?!?!??????

In april 06, my friend used clairol hair bleach on my hair, it came teeerrrriibley, all patchy and horrible. the hairdresser then dyed it ginger, then for some reason put highlights in. in july 06, i went to a much better hairdresser, who did this color correction thing, to make it back to mid brown. then from july 06- januray 07, i used semi permentant dark brown dye on my hair, every 6 weeks or so. now, my hair is light-mid brown at the bottom, darkish brown in the middle, and my natural (mid brown) in the roots.
i want to dye it, but it'd have to be at home.
if i use one that says its 70% natural would that be ok? and should i use semi- permenant yeah?
the ends of my hair are soo split, i want to cut it to like shoulder length, would this help with the damage to it? urrrgh help mee!!
what should i do!
im not even sure cutting it would suit me because iv got quite a round face. oh and im 16. sorry this is so long!!!

I was really hyper and i asked my friend to trim my bangs for me, so she did and when i looked in the mirror they were so short i cant even put them up in a clip.. Heres a before/ after pics.. HELP WHAT CAN I DO.. I FEEL LIKE THROWING UP, I AM SHAKING AND I NEED HELLP, HELP MEEE :(

I found it kind of weird, it was blonde whitish and my arm hair is black and it was 2 1/2 inches!
I never saw it until now and I pulled itout.
Why did it grow that long and why is white?
I'm kinda freaked out right now lol

Just wondering what the different colors of pubic hair are. Like, do blondes have blonde-haired pubes, do redheads have red-haired pubes, i know black people have black curly hair pubes. Do they have different textures also?

i had it cut to about like almost my shoulders but longer my hair use to be really long well up to my bra line and my hair dresser ruined it by messing it up so anyways i got it cut like 3-4 months ago and its not growing that fast. How can i make it grow faster and why wont it grow fast its still up to my shoulders and a bit more. I have quite a lot of split ends but i just got rid of A LOT so will it make my hair grow faster or something cause i really miss my old hair and how will it take aprox to make it to my bra line again i bet about a year but can i get it longer before that? and thanks =)

I just bought a bottle of sun-in, because i want to get like a couple high-lights to spice up my hair [:
But i dont have any sun cause its freezing and raining right now.
I have a kinda/meduimish brown color hair. Will it work with a blow dryer?

Btw, I know people say that it will turn your hair orange for brown hair but Ive alreayd used a blonde dye for highlights on my dark hair and it didnt turn my hair orange.. it worked.

p.s. dont tell me to go to a salon because i dont like the salons around where i love cause they do everything so perfectly and it looks weird for lighter highlights if that makes sense.
p.p.s. dont tell me to get a box dye

just tell me if sun-in will work with a blowdryer!

Im 17 yrrs old and I have hairy arms. The hairs are about an inch+ long and they're very thick. I trimmed them a while ago, and I like the way they look! Would it be wierd to keep trimming them, and if I do, will they only get longer and thicker? Girls, do you have any preferences as to the hairyness of arms, or at least how long the hairs are?

I am just curious what is the longest hair you've every seen in person and what is the longest hair you've ever had. I have seen a girl in high school with ankle lenght hair and another girl at a key club coinvention with knee lenght hair. The longest hair I have every had was about 12-14 inches below my shoulders. I then cut it and I planning to grow it longer.

i have quite fine hair to start with, it's also naturally cirly/frzzy because i'm mixed rac, i use straighteners every day and always tie it back! but recently my hair has started thinning at the sides and it's worrying me, does anyone have any tips on how i can get my hair to grow and look thicker?

I have long hair and narmaly at this time of year I cut it. My hair in the frount is to my shoulders and the back of my hair it go's down my back a little. Should I cut it or leave it? My mom LOVES it but I do think I can handal long hair (I haven't had long hair scents I was 9 or 10), its really beautiful but I do know what to do.
